[[There's a ton of food Bakura's made waiting to be hauled from 1006 to the Mancave, as well as some decorations to go up. But mostly, getting the food (that was made in his own kitchen, despite it being smaller, to avoid any hint of what was going on, of course) where it needed to go. ]]

[He'd offered to help Bakura any way he could, unable to think of a gift that wasn't riddled with too many emotions that he knew Trowa wouldn't want to receive. At least he'd done something to assure this was a more pleasant party than Trowa might think.]

[He was sure he wouldn't be able to bring himself to stay, however.]

[Unwinding his scarf and tucking it into the pocket of his jacket, he hung it over the back of a free chair and looked over at Bakura.]

What should I do?

Aa-- can you grab that tray on the counter? [[smiles, near bouncing around the kitchen, pulling out things from seemingly hidden locations. There's the cold appetizers, the appetizers that would need warming up, the main course finishing off in the oven, the drinks...

And then there's the very large pastry box on the counter. In any other kitchen, it would mean something bought, but for Bakura who always had to bring some baked good when visiting, a pastry box meant homemade sweets.

Unless it had a logo on it. This one just had some neatly scribbled kana on the top.]]

Grabbing the birthday boy

I have dinner ready and set up in the Mancave. I made a special one today, since it's your birthday!

[ Selina arrives late, well after dark. She's clad in a long wine-colored dress with a black cloak thrown on top. The lush velvet is warm for fall, true, but the whole ensemble looks a bit out of place. ]

[fashionably late, having excused himself from the set-up by needing to shower and change after work. He'll be keeping half an eye on Kiryu when/if he shows, out of concern, but for now Alastair is just availing himself of dinner and looking at the shark]

[Either by Bakura's magic or some odd whim that he'd had somewhere between arriving to help Bakura set up and quests actually starting to get here, Quatre hadn't left, though he'd made himself all but invisible, not really sure if he was welcome by anyone that wasn't Bakura and unwilling to make his being there a fuss.]

[So, if he's anywhere to be found, it's in the kitchen, taking over for Bakura when possible so that he could actually enjoy the party he'd worked so hard to throw.]

[ Selina eventually prowls into the kitchen like some predatory creature. She barely nods at Quatre, heading towards the fridge and the red meat that Trowa had told her about. ]

[Kiryu wanders in relatively late, looking like he raided Bakura's closet for his clubbing clothes and threw in his Dark Signer cape for good measure. There is a distinct lack of blue and an distinct air of aristocracy about the outfit.

He isn't really sure why he's here, since Trowa is definitely more Bakura's friend, but Bakura had looked so hopeful when he'd invited him that Kiryu couldn't refuse. Still, he's more likely to be hovering around the games than mingling with these people he doesn't really know.]

[Hiruma's been there since the party started, going in shortly after Bakura went to grab Trowa. He's tending the bar tonight, more or less, for anyone who happens to want some drinks. He also has the TV turned to football. Only Trowa is allowed to change it!]

[Shockwave is quite late, mainly for the fact that he's still not sure about this "friend" thing. When did such a thing happen? How did it happen? It seemed odd for him to have gained such terminology. Still he said he'd go.

For the most part, he's keeping to himself. Birthdays are confusing.]
