oh no notto this shitto again

WHO: Next on SOAPNET is the Terra and Zelgadis show...
WHERE: MAC
WHEN: Tonight is fine
WARNINGS: this shitto again
SUMMARY: nobody in this log can communicate in a sane and rational way that can alleviate confusion
FORMAT: screaming

Sometimes people remembered dreams, plain as that. Sometimes people remembered dreams...vividly...sometimes. Seers and such, sure. And maybe the occasional post-traumatic stress-induced nightmare. Logical. The mind sometimes did that, be it as an omen or just as an after-effect of...

What the hell effect of what and why?!

If Lina bothered to ask him what was eating him one more time, Zelgadis was liable to throw himself off the building. Instead, he'd stormed out in his not-unusual, over-dramatic huff for whenever something wasn't to his liking and he couldn't fix it. Straight to the roof. To throw himself off if need be, sure, but mostly just to get a clear head without any further prodding. Because it was just a stupid dream. Weird dreams weren't new around the City, after all, so...

So he had to try and rationalize that if it had been one of those weird dreams, either she was busy hiding out of sheer revulsion or she'd already gotten around to chucking herself off the roof. Possible. Morbid, but possible.

"Grrughh." He dug the heels of his palms into his eyes, slowly dragging his hands down the sides of his face. Sleep wasn't easy anymore. Nothing was easy anymore. What the hell was up with that? It was as if the universe realized he'd gotten the one thing he'd longed for after so many years and decided that rather than let him live and be happy, he'd have to suffer sevenfold over matters entirely unrelated. It was one thing after the other, getting more and more...just...just...!

Of course, able to sense the magic Zelgadis wielded even when it lay dormant within him, Terra didn't have to be looking his way to feel his movement in the space around her. It was similar to the feeling of someone moving a torch heavy with fire and the scent of lilac; a person didn't have to see a flower to know its scent, or hear a fire to feel its presence.

She spoke up. "No... It makes sense." Finally Terra turned, dropping her hands to her sides. "What you remember... it makes sense."

"It makes more sense... than you making up something like that. Doesn't it?" she asked, curious. It was getting colder as the night drew on, and Terra folded her hands over her arms, fingers curling against warm fabric. "You wouldn't have known... that my magic could do that."

Terra nodded, and moved to follow—she was, after all, nowhere near satisfied with this conversation just yet. The way he'd mentioned it before...

Her hand caught on the door frame, not quite reentering the building. "How does it work for them?"

Terra was unaware as to just how or why this conversation was so rough on Zelgadis; following a few steps behind, she had to keep a hand on the railing just to be safe, too busy mulling things over than paying attention to where she walked.

"Would they have been able to go so far instantly?"

She came to a stop on the turn in the stairwell, heel sliding against the hard surface in a quiet squeak. The more he explained, it seemed, the less likely to her it seemed that he was simply inventing things. If he were simply confusing her powers for someone else's, then it stood to show he'd assume she would have similar strength or use her power in the same way, wouldn't he? If that were the case, then why did he say they 'kept going' until they were that far south? That meant they had to stop and go, didn't it?

It was, as far as Terra could tell, the only way she could have been responsible for moving them so far as that. But Zelgadis wouldn't have known that before now, would he?

She frowned, taking the steps quickly to catch up. "Why does it being unclear mean it's not right?"

"Then..." Terra came to a slow stop a few feet away, rubbing curled fingers against the heel of her palm to restart the circulation there. Okay, she could admit it got cold outside, but it wasn't like she had to worry about getting frostbite or getting sick. "Then... can't we say you're right? Until something can prove it's different..."
