WHERE: At a diner somewhere.

[ Misty had promised to teach Jim how to use his phone, and Misty kept her promises. So here she was, at the diner they'd decided on, prepared to explain all the finer points of using a cell phone and then some. ]

[Thankfully, the chosen destination was a place that was cozy and comfortable and he wouldn't feel on edge or jittery. Spotting the woman he'd spoken to, he raises a hand and gives her a little wave, approaching.] Misty? [He doesn't want to just sit down. He might have went to the wrong diner and this could have been the wrong woman and -- well, lots of things could have gone wrong, right?]

Yeah, that's me. Sit down, honey, relax. I don't bite.

[ She gestured to the chair opposite her, mild amusement on her face. ]

That's good to know. I assure you that I wasn't intending to test if that was the case, however. [He slides into the seat across from her and shifts back and forth, trying to make himself comfortable before taking off his winter coat. Beneath it, he's in a turtleneck -- plain and dark. And he smiles.]

I hope you've not been waiting long?

No, not long at all. Just long enough to order myself some coffee.

[ And there's a cup for him, of course. She nudges the sugar and cream over to him. ]

Didn't know how you took it, so it's just black.

[Oh, good. Being late for this would have probably looked bad. He smiles warmly and adds one of those dinky little containers of half & half before unrolling the spoon from the napkin and using it to stir it in.]

I appreciate that.

So, you got no idea how to use that fancy comm to text, huh?

[ Misty still thinks he's overexaggerating because lol really Jim? ]

...well, I know how sort of, it just takes a blasted hour and a half to find a letter. [Or a good minute or so. QWERTY keyboard, what are you. :|]

Not sure I ever will be. [He raises the coffee to his mouth, just barely sipping before hissing quietly. Man, is he ever not manly.]
