SUMMARY: Trying to stop thinking so much, Momiji starts wondering around the City.
FORMAT: Starts with prose, will dissolve into whatever the other person wants




Momiji had been spending his first few days in the City trying to wrap his mind around the concept of being stuck in this new reality. It hadn’t been going well. Thinking about it left him depressed and filled with questions about the future. The silence that filled his apartment wasn’t helping. Momiji had never really been alone. Sure, the houses on Sohma estate were usually quiet, but there had still been the background hum of human life. To keep himself from dwelling on his situation, Momiji had been busy acquiring a new wardrobe and decorating his room.

But there was only so much time he could dedicate to deciding between shades of pink and by Friday, Momiji running out of things to do. Determined not to spend his weekend worrying over something he couldn’t change, he rose early and with a game plan. He was going to explore the City and get familiar with the place he’d be calling home from now on. Mentally pumping himself, Momiji pulled on a sweater and strode out the door.

Momiji practically jumped forward to try to stop the puck, clipping its side again and bouncing it off the wall. "Come on." He muttered lowly, hands tense on the paddle.

Rolled 1 d30 : High: Bakura, Low: Momiji: Rolled a 23.

Bakura's grin widened as his paddle connected with the puck, zooming straight forward to sink into Momiji's goal with a loud TWACK.

He gave a laugh as the table turns off. "Aa, that was fun! You played really well, Momiji-kun!"

Awesome.

"Oh man." Momiji stared at his goal for a moment, before laughing. "Eh, it was fun."

He walked over to Bakura and held out his hand for a shake. "Congrats, Bakura-kun!"

Bakura was more than happy to accept it, giving Momiji a beaming smile. "It really was! We need to do that again sometime soon, ne?"

"You bet." Momiji agreed, grinning. "Just you wait, I'll get a lot better before then."

"I'll hold you to that," Bakura grinned before reaching out to muss Momiji's hair lightly, unable to help himself.

Momiji laughed, not minding the attention in the least. "Ne, I think I've kept you to myself long enough. You probably have stuff to do."

"Aah, unfortunately! I do have to still cook dinner," Bakura lamented, still smiling.

"I'll be on my way then." Momiji nodded to himself. He started towards the door. ""I'll see you later, Bakura-kun!"

Bakura nodded, following him out, pausing at the entrance before they parted ways to wave. "Until next time!"

"Bye!" Momiji waved a skipped off in the opposite direction.
