You're the kinda girl I'd take home to mom

WHO:Fakir, Rue
WHERE: Dance practice land
WHEN: January 9th, afternoon
WARNINGS:Bitching~
SUMMARY: Fakir and Rue attempt to practice their routine and probably just wind up griping and each other.
FORMAT:Bitchogrphs

She was late.

Fakir tapped his soft-shoed foot on the glossy floor of the practice room as he stared at the door across the room. Really, he thought, it had been her idea to do this routine, and he had been the one to arrive early, set everything up, and wait for her.

Minutes more passed, and eventually Fakir decided to occupy himself by switching the CD player on and allowing himself to dance alone, independent of the story or anything else but the music.

Very loudly, Rue came bounding into the practice room, frustration evident on her face. Without so much as one look at Fakir, she began her stretching, lifting her leg in time to the music.

"I was held up by one of the school counselors. They want to make me move back into the dorms."

She did not look at him as she said this, just continued rigidly performing her warm-up routine, as if she was alone.

Rue whipped around to look at him, biting back her retort. It didn't matter what he said. Nothing mattered but this, the dance, the contest. She strode
over to the CD player, carefully setting it to the correct spot.

"Do you know where to begin?" she asked Fakir, holding her hand out to him.

"Then let us begin."

Taking a deep breath, Rue moved into position next to him, and began the first few steps of Odile's choreography, performing her part as if she had been dancing it her whole life.

After stumbling for the third time, Rue abruptly broke away from him, stalking over to her bag and taking a long gulp of water. She turned back to him.

"I thought you said you knew the steps," she said angrily.
