i was only kidding when i said good riddance
WHO: ELECTRO and MOCKINGBIRD
WHERE: Electro's apartment at the MAC.
WHEN: Following this.
WARNINGS: Banter, makeouts, some sex.
SUMMARY: PARKER IS GONE AND ELECTRO IS SAD. Mockingbird to the rescue.
FORMAT: Para.
The apartment was dark; Electro had no need for the City's regular electricity, usually he powered his place on his own (cheap and easy) but tonight he didn't feel the energy at all. So he sat in the dark, staring at his dead TV, holding an unopened beer bottle in hand. Shit, what was he even supposed to do? Parker was his best friend, his... it didn't even matter what they were or what weren't beyond that. They were best friends, and Electro hadn't ever had any real ones. Why was it that now that things had been kind of going okay for him -- he didn't just have one girlfriend, he had one and a half... maybe. What did Bobbi think of their kiss, he wondered? -- the person he was closest to had to leave.
Maybe for good. Who could know? This place had no rhyme or reason to the pattern of who left forever vs. who left for a week. It wasn't fair.
He bit his lower lip, glaring through the darkness.

"Well, you know what they say, sport. Practice makes perfect." Bobbi eyed him carefully, adding quietly. "We should do it again sometime. If you want to."

Except for Parker, of course, but he was an exception. Electro didn't want this getting back to the Pro before he could figure out how he was going to handle it. Because if he let it handle itself, he got the feeling it would amount to a fuck-up that he wouldn't be able to fix.

He shrugged his shoulders, looking coy.

The longer they could keep this quiet, the better it would be. After Luke's explosion over Misty and Parker, Bobbi wasn't looking forward to having to explain what she was doing in Max Dillon's apartment. She cleared her throat, looking at him a bit smugly, "So... what now?"

He licked his upper lip, and leaned close to her, kissing her briefly on the mouth.
"Thanks."

She finished getting dressed, unsure of what to do, if she should go or stay or what. It'd been a long time since she'd done anything like this, having been married or off-world for the better part of the last decade. Part of her thought she should take off and go see Misty, but the other part kinda wanted to stay. How much more awkward could this be, really?
"When can I see you again?"

"Whenever you want. Uh -- I mean, I think I got to talk to someone--" (The Pro.) "--my... daughter, see how she's doing before I make any official plans, but. Maybe we can... later this week, maybe?"

"I can bring in some better food. Not Chinese, maybe like... steaks or somethin'. Whatever you want."

"I should go. I promised Misty I'd bring liquor." Bobbi exhaled, licking her lips. "I'll come by in a couple days. Or, you know, you can call me. Or something. I dunno. I guess it doesn't matter. I'll find you."
She kissed him again, giving him a giddy grin.

He moved away from her a step, letting her go before he got tempted to kiss her harder.

With one last kiss to his mouth-- a relatively chaste one compared to all of the other kisses they'd shared all evening-- she opened the door and stepped back into the hall of the MAC. "Bye."
