WHO:
rocksfallidie and
soldieringblue
WHERE: the local Goodwill
WHEN: ehhhhh this morning?
WARNINGS: sparkles as far as the eye can see, Leo's fashion sense
SUMMARY: Mu shopping.
FORMAT: combos, they're delicious, seriously it's like a slice of pepperoni pizza wrapped up in a pretzel
It wasn't uncommon for Leo to appear in the doorway of Blue's bedroom, always slightly hesitant to enter without permission despite his almost constant presence in Blue's original bedroom. This time, though, there was an air of hopeful anticipation in Leo's presence. He hoped to get Blue out of the house today.
Soldier Blue?... It was a gentle inquiry, a request to enter.

You can come in, Leo, he thought aloud as he straightened and stood up from the desk chair. Only when the door opened did he think to use his voice and speak aloud. "What is it?"

He gave Blue a short bow, respectfully, before making his request.
I'd like to propose an idea for reconnaissance. That was Leo, ever considering security concerns. The younger Leo that had walked in the City once before might not have considered it quite as important, but at the present Leo had more reasons than ever to distrust humanity--and, more importantly (and, perhaps, light-heartedly) to blend in with it.

Formalities aside, Leo's remark lifted Blue's eyebrows. "What do you have in mind?"

Leo's tone and aura are earnest. Clearly this is a topic near and dear to his heart.
There are places here in the City where we can buy human clothes for very little money. Then we would be able to travel the City unnoticed, perhaps not even by Keith Anyan.
By the end of his speech Leo's arms were spread, palms up. What do you think?

"It's a fine idea, Leo," Blue replied, smiling wanly. There was a tint of apology in the way his eyebrows lifted and knit, an outward expression of his guilt. Still, he knew there was redemption in accepting Leo's suggestion.
He would have been overruled, anyway; Rain sat perched on the windowsill with his bright eyes fixed on the both of them, wondering at what any of it meant, but fairly certain that if it meant out he was all for it.

The blue rodent leaped from his perch and happily climbed up Leo's body to settle on his shoulder, a resounding "yes" if there ever was one.
And the earlier we start, the better. A wane smile and mild disposition was what Leo was accustomed to seeing from Blue, in the incarnation he was used to; really, the smile was almost a rarity and Leo found it heartening.
