Leo is currently cleaning the kitchen. Counters and sinks get scrubbed, dishes are put away, and the fridge has even been cleaned out.

He's probably sweeping or mopping or something, so this is the perfect opportunity to start a conversation. Definitely that.

Baroona is leaning against the doorframe, watching (and smoking). After creepering for a few minutes, he puts out the cigarette.

"Is there another one?" He nods towards whatever Leo is cleaning with.

Keiko was a little startled to see someone hard at work in the kitchen. She stepped aside so she wouldn't be in his way, sticking close to the doorway.

"Do you want help?"

Leo!

That would be Rain's voice, of course. Nobody else's is at such a prepubescent octave. The mouse scampers into the kitchen, climbing up Leo's pant leg and up to his shoulder, making a proper mousey attention whore of himself. Are you done yet?


Blue shows up not too much later with...something that was once whole and possibly edible set on the cover of an old magazine. Living with teenage boys is like being on a perpetual and involuntary treasure hunt for gross, half-eaten and totally-forgotten food. Blue found this afternoon's upstairs.

"Thank you for all your hard work," he says, as he's said dozens of times so far, but never without earnest. Leo always did put his best foot forward, even when never asked. Usually particularly when not asked.

Yukina has just come in with a couple of large bags filled with groceries. She's pleasantly surprised to see that some of the work she was planning to do after she got home and put away the groceries is now finished.

"Oh, thank you," the small ice apparition says, smiling up at him. "I can help with the rest once I put these away."

[rain is staring at him. so staringly. sniffing and squeaking and directing psychic inquiries to blue, who has taken to sitting near a window with a book in his lap.

[So yeah. Ever since he's gotten here, he's pretty much been trying to earn his stay. Which means housework. Cleaning, cooking (pretty decently... if you don't mind campfires in the backyard...), doing... around the house like someone's going to fucking attack..., doing laundry (only hanging it out to dry in... winter. Also repairing any like. Broken walls around the house.

Yeah, needless to say he's not doing an amazing job, but he's trying! Anyway, yeah. He is pretty much everywhere around the house and in the backyard, but still respecting everyone's individual space. So uh. Just say he's wherever your character is and we'll have CR!]

[Keiko's walking in through the door, a little tired at from the walk back from school. She changes her shoes quietly, adjusting her grip on her bag. She calls out a fairly level tone, announcing her presence.]

[Keiko's curled up in a chair in the living room, a thick text book in her lap and a notebook balanced on the arm rest. She's been working for a while and is starting to show signs of boredom. So bored in fact, she's pretending that she isn't watching that cheesy soap opera that's on TV right now.]

[it's so friggin novel to use an actual door to get in the house, what when you can teleport and usually have to in order to avoid ne'er-do-wells, but that's not exactly the case in this house, huh?

so late-night-walker soldier blue enters like a normal human being, having to give the door an extra push against the harsh winds. that blizzard outside is unreal. he exhales once he hears the door click, catching that wave of boredom and sending his eyes to follow and find its source in keiko. ah.]

any given morning

[this is not comatose!edition blue. this is friggin awake-as-hell blue. and as such, this blue is up at the crack of dawn, opening up the blinds in the main rooms very methodically and without a sliver of boredom.

he's trying to rack up as many sunrises as he possibly can, don'tchaknow. and early morning time is quiet, thinking-time. sometimes good, sometimes bad. really depends on the day.]

[Sometimes Yukina likes to sleep in and get up with just enough time to get ready and get to the Clinic to work. Today, she's up early. She wants to try and take a picture of the sunrise with her recently acquired digital camera. According to Keiko, she's got a natural talent for photography, and it seems a shame to let that go to waste. Besides - it's fun. She's getting ready to head out to snap a photo when she spots Blue.]

[ Even if he felt disconnected from his feelings (or they were dulled, dimmed... Whatever), that didn't stop the inevitable bout of anxiety that came with living in a disaster-ridden City with a sixth sense. There'd been a lull, so the idea that something was creeping up... It wasn't unbelievable.

He'd tried to sleep but got woken up by a dream. Explosion. Also not unbelievable, and he couldn't get to sleep after that.

So he waits it out, sitting at the kitchen table with coffee and text books. If he can't figure out what's going on like a good psychic, at least he can get some extra school-work done. ]

[early rising is pretty friggin ritual for blue - moreso with unease floating around the house.

it's a bit early for even him, what with it being a good while before the sun starts creeping up, but blue can't go back to sleep with that tension all up in the place. so he heads downstairs quietly, habitually tilting his head to peer out the corner of window still visible even with blinds shut.

he drifts toward the kitchen, slowing near the entrance. it's hard to keep concern off his face, but hey. points for trying.]

why is one of the humans awake that ain't right. and it's the new one! he smells funny. and seems scary. always...looming around and making dull noises. rain isn't sure what to make of him yet.

tittering noises ensue from the living room as rain contemplates the risks involved with going to the kitchen for food and facing the new smelly person...]
