[It was just a mild dose, enough to make them giggly and jittery, at least for now. The longer they went unchecked the more violent they would become. The sheer number of them was worrying. They wouldn't be difficult to stop, but a crowd that large was hard to handle under the best conditions and these were hardly the best conditions. Any moment now they'd be released out of nearby buildings and into the streets of Times Square to wreak as much havoc as possible.]
