TIMES SQUARE JOKER VENOM STUFF
[ooc: Can't remember if you guys said you wanted containment or to stop the poisoning, so if this is wrong let me know and I'll change it.]
Re: TIMES SQUARE JOKER VENOM STUFF
I really need to get onto a team of something...
[He sighed before stretching quickly and preparing to head back to patrol.]

Okay, so Madame Tussaud's is a bit of a rip-off, but there's no need to get cranky about it.
[ He hops closer to the street to investigate more closely. ]

Wonder who that is...
[He speeds down to the bottom level of the fire escape he used to get onto the roof and leans over the railing to see if he can get a better look at the the other costumed man.]
PREPARING TO NAPALM CENTRAL PARK
The Joker planned to do this job himself, which was why he had his handpicked goon squad with him, the best of the best and the most nuts of the nuts. It was truly a delight to work with these guys and the smiles on their faces as they prepared the helicopters to spread the napalm was just a wonderful sight to see.]
Re: PREPARING TO NAPALM CENTRAL PARK
Nothing better than being right on a hunch.]
Re: PREPARING TO NAPALM CENTRAL PARK
Leaping into the group, she delivered a fast roundhouse to one of the goons heads and sent him flying back.]
I'll take the henchmen, you get the clown!
[As much as Helena wanted the Joker, she didn't trust herself to not kill him, and in a place like this that wasn't really an effective option.]
Re: PREPARING TO NAPALM CENTRAL PARK
The number of helicopters, the amount of people this could hurt if he's not fast enough. It's time to focus.]
Re: PREPARING TO NAPALM CENTRAL PARK
[Reaching into his jacket, the Joker threw out several bouncy balls toward Nightwing, which began exploding after several seconds. It probably wouldn't stop him, but it might give the Joker enough time to get to one of the helicopters and to the napalm.]
[ooc: Go ahead and tag with Dick for a bit and I'll reply with the Joker.]
Re: PREPARING TO NAPALM CENTRAL PARK
Re: PREPARING TO NAPALM CENTRAL PARK
Pulling out a gun, he began to fire shots at the helicopter, hoping to hit one of the napalm tanks that Nightwing was near.]
Re: PREPARING TO NAPALM CENTRAL PARK
He tosses another batarang, aiming for the gun this time while he changes direction and lunges for the blades instead. If one tank goes up it's a good bet it will take them rest of them with it. And probably everyone else on the platform.]
TAKING DOWN THE JOKER
But right now, it was very different. Guns, chemicals, explosives, and various toys were scattered all about the space. In the center was a large metal cylinder, 5 feet in diameter and ten feet high. Though you couldn't see it, inside was Christie or Krissy or Steve, one of those kinds of names, the Joker couldn't remember. A small digital clock was frozen on a countdown of 90 seconds and the Joker idly toyed with the remote. If Batman didn't show up soon, he was going to just press the button anyways. He wasn't sure what would be the first to kill Annie or Mannie or Jim or whoever was in there.
It might be the toxic gas that would be released, or maybe the giant saw that would descend from the ceiling, or possibly the piranhas that would fill the tank once the water started pouring in. The Joker's money would be on all the explosives that were wired to the bottom though, that would probably do the job.]

No, there were too many unknown variables. If that wound up pressed, he'd need to know the lay of the land. How to take down the cacophony of deathtraps the ugly way. How many people needed to be pulled out of the fray.
Eventually, a gravelly voices reverberates down from the rafters of the factory.]
I'm here, Joker.
no subject
[The Joker clapped his hands excitedly as the voice called out. He had been missing his nemesis so much, he was glad that the bat had decided to pay him a visit in person.]
How have you been, Batsy? I worry about you, you know. How's the family?
no subject
Your pranks are being foiled all across the City. Your thugs are all being put into incarceration, if they're lucky.
The game's over. I'm not here to exchange pleasantries.

[The Joker seemed to talking to an invisible audience, as much as he was Batman or himself at this point, although he was aware of the shadow drifting closer.]
Hmmmm, should I fight back this time? Go peacefully? Let's take it to a vote. All for resisting, say... BOOM!
[With that, he pulled out a gun from his jacket, a large boxing glove attached to the end of it. When he fired, the glove scissored out and stopped after 3 feet, hanging limply in the air and nowhere near Batman.]
Well poop.

I'm here. I played along. Let those people go.

[An arm whips from the folds of his cape, aiming for a disarming shot with a batarang. He comes racing fists first after it.]

Pouncing back onto his feet, he swings an arm around to level a solid right hook at the deranged clown.]

[The blow connected with his jaw and there was a mild cracking sound. Not broken but it certainly didn't tickle. Stumbling back, tripping over his own giant shoe, he crashed back against the ground.]
no subject
Nothing flashy; this isn't about making a point or even about getting the job done anymore. It's pure catharsis for a man who has fought through swathes of thugs and contract killers and exploding buildings and panicked civilians for three days to get here. It's one punch after another.]
no subject
It was difficult to manage a laugh through the beating at the blood, but he choked out a semblance of one. Especially when a sound came from the cylinder in the middle of the room. A loud beep followed by talking.]
Ridiculously over the top death trap activating in 60, 59, 58...
no subject
What have you done?
no subject
Now come on, I thought you were the world's, heh, greatest detective.
no subject
No, this was the classic Catch-22. The Joker or the people in that death trap.
With a positively animal growl of resignation he fires his grapple gun into the rafters above the trap. From there, he begins to look for a way to disarm it or at least free the people inside.]
no subject
Adios, Batsy~! Until we meet again!
[Laughing again, the Joker started to run away. Thankfully all the damage was done to his face and his legs worked just fine!]
[ooc: And now is when Kasumi is going to tag in!]
no subject
[She'd originally planned to just punch him and then turn him over to the law enforcement here, if no one else had managed it first, and yet now...well, punching probably wasn't going to be satisfying enough. Maybe she'd kneecap him... She had her gun out, but her cloak up as she slipped into the Joker's lair, just in time to see a man in a cape...letting him go? And what the hell was that thing full of...people.]
You've got to be kidding me.
[She trained her gun on the rapidly retreating Joker, but he vanished through a door before she could get a shot off and she hissed in irritation. She wanted to chase him, but...she couldn't just leave these people in the...what the hell was it? Her attention turned to the man in the rafters, glowing eyes narrowed. She shouted up to him.]
Can you get to them?
no subject
There would be time for introductions later.]
Can you?
no subject
I think so.
no subject
Know so.
[Batman unclips his utility belt and drops it down to her before barrelling after the Joker.]
