We're no strangers to loooooove...

WHO:  Avengers! This is open. If you have a reason to attend, you're welcome!
WHERE: The Mansion
WHEN: Thursday night
WARNINGS: Assembling?
SUMMARY:  The Avengers assemble and take care of bidness
FORMAT: WHATEVS BBS! This is open, tag yourselves in.

Bobbi didn't bother with refreshments this time, instead of worrying about sodas and snacks, she just hefted a big case of bottled water into the living room and plopped into the most comfortable of the seats.  The gate and front door were unlocked for the team and there was plenty of room for everyone to pull up a seat and join the discussion on the fate of the Avengers.

Hank wandered in a little early. He'd been eager to work more with the Avengers, and recent events have discouraged him from spending any more time at the Institute than he needed to, so when a meeting was announced he arrived excitedly!

When he entered the conference room, he was a little shocked to find that the only offering was water. "No food? Oh, that shouldn't be a problem. I'll be in the kitchen, shouldn't be but a few minutes!" He figured that if anyone was right for that job, it was him. He was already familiar with how everything was set up in there, after all.

Thor had come as soon as he could - which, as he'd been close by and had nothing pressing to do in the meantime, had made him one of the first people in the mansion. (Upon finding it nearly empty he had gone through the refrigerator as a matter of course; so it was somewhat easy for him to dismiss the idea - but that didn't occur to him.)

"Let these things wait. We should begin without delay."

"Ah, so it's that type of meeting, is it?"

Somewhat disappointed, and honestly a little hungry, Hank grabbed a bottle of water and found himself a chair big enough to comfortably seat him. He leaned back and twiddled his fingers patiently. Others would likely be just as hungry, he'd have to prepare something as soon business was settled.

"Hello?" Spider-Man said just then, poking his head around the doors. "Anyone h-- oh, hey guys!" He bounded in and took a seat -- a perch on the backrest of a seat, that is.

He webbed a bottle of water into his hand, cracked it open, and drank half the bottle before speaking again. "Sorry, had to stop two robberies and a carjacking on the way here, you know how it is."

Luke showed up after Spider-Man. He was still busy working on clearing up the Dojo mess and his own personal affairs, but made time for the meeting. He was getting just as impatient as everyone else about the state of the Avengers.

He stood at the back of the room, arms crossed, and eyes sharp.

"This everybody?" Luke asked impatiently.

James had arrived in time to hear Luke ask if this was everyone as he approached the room. When he looked inside it seemed there were still people missing, but he was happy when he recognized everyone.

"I don't think so."

He took a seat next to Spider-Man and set the bag that held his shield down at his feet.

Natasha was here, having entered the mansion inconspicuously. She was wearing expensive civilian clothes. She was as frustrated as anyone else with the state of the team, but it wasn't like her to act that way. Especially not at times like these, when rash decisions were so often unfortunate ones. She decided to remain standing, leaning against one of the walls.

Leaning against the back wall, his arms crossed over his chest, the Sentry surveyed the room carefully from beneath his thick blond bangs. He was quiet, merely observing at the moment, but he was too restless to sit down. For the better anyway that he didn't speak yet -- Bob didn't know fully what this meeting was about, or what it would be about. The tensions in the team made him nervous; he didn't like taking sides, and wouldn't unless he had to.

Shifting uneasily in place, he waited.

"Well, if anyone's got a deck of cards while we wait for a few more people to come in," Spider-Man said, trailing off. He rolled his bottle of water over the back of his hand and around like it were a penny or a juggling ball, without paying it much attention.

It wasn't that he was nervous or impatient, exactly. He was just fidgeting because he always fidgeted. But despite everything that had happened since the Raft breakout -- it felt like years since the Raft breakout -- Peter still didn't feel like a "real" Avenger. (He probably never would.) And he was well aware that if there was a consensus to pare down the team, or reorganize it in a way that left them with fewer members, he probably wouldn't make the cut.

"We usually kept one in the small tool drawer. Back home, of course." Pietro replied to the conversation only half-heard as he'd raced through the hallway. He decided to sidestep the fact that he was obviously a little more than fashionably late but pointing out whoever might be missing. Interestingly enough, however, there seemed to be a rather sizable turn out. He nodded to them in greeting as he settled into an unoccupied corner of the room. Maybe this time they could actually get something accomplished.
