A Dragon and a Batgirl Walk Into A Park...
WHO: Ysera and Stephanie (and open if you want to stalk and stare at mushyness)
WHERE: The Park, somewhere more or less private
WHEN: A bit after this.
WARNINGS: Uh... dragons and batgirls in love? Moopey lovey-dovey stuff, IDK.
SUMMARY: A dragon and a bat go to have a tryst in the park. What could be wrong with that?
FORMAT: Whatever.
After Ysera arrived by walking through dreams to get to the park location, she waited nervously. She was anxious to see Stephanie. Although meditation usually came easily to her, Ysera found it nearly impossible to sit still as time passed. The delay was worrying her. Although Ysera knew that humans took longer to travel around the City than she did, she found herself worrying that Stephanie wouldn't come.
Ysera hadn't been this nervous and fluttery about meeting anyone in... ages. It was almost strange how nervous she felt about meeting the mortal woman -- and wasn't that a distressing thought. Stephanie was just a human and subject to human frailties and to a human's short life. Completely distracted from the oddness of how sudden her feelings were, Ysera sprang to her feet and paced, suddenly frightened that something had happened to Stephanie in the short time since they'd talked - an eyeblink to a dragon, surely, but how long to a mortal human? How long had it been?
Ysera turned suddenly and stepped back into her dream, ready to walk straight to Stephanie's dream, already reaching out to touch Stephanie's daydreaming fantasies - and then stopped herself inside her own dream of the Eye of Ysera.
No, no, this was silly. She was being absurd. She would have felt if anything happened to Stephanie - and indeed, she could feel the bright, bubbly warmth of Stephanie's dreaming on the edge of her own where she'd nestled her dream up against Stephanie's - the better to watch over her...
Ysera shook her head and firmed her resolve, smoothing her gauzy emerald and gold silk skirts as she composed herself again. She would not barge in on Stephanie wherever she was - not without an invitation. Humans liked their privacy at times, and she didn't want to upset Stephanie - she never wanted to upset her. No matter how much she wanted to curl around her fragile human life and hold her close and safe against her warm scales and...
She shook her head and turned back toward the park. But she paused, on the verge of stepping back out of her dream and phasing back into the waking world in the park by the bench set back under evergreen trees, keeping the snow and damp out of the secluded little area. She should wait... here in her dream. Probably... maybe. Yes, she shouldn't be too overbearing. She didn't want to intimidate Stephanie, after all.
So she settled in to wait for Stephanie to arrive, and then she would join her in the physical world.

Dressed casually for the cool weather, Steph put a tight lid on her nervousness and headed into the isolated section of the park she had told Ysera about. What if she doesn't come? Okay, maybe those nerves weren't reigned in as well as she'd like.

Shaking her head, Ysera stepped out of her own dream and into the waking world, appearing from apparently nowhere, off to the side, under the largest evergreen, beside the trunk.
"I would not break my promise to you, Stephanie. Have no fear of that."
She smiled as she stepped forward into the winter light filtering through the trees. The light glinted off the intricate gold and emerald enamel of her armored breastplate, greaves and gauntlets, and filtered through the gauzy cape and skirts.
Her clothes and the ornamentation on her pointed ears and horns hadn't been chosen for cold weather, though she didn't seem to be uncomfortable in it. Instead she'd chosen for what she knew many human men found alluring - the silks and gold ornaments - and to show she was healthy, strong and capable - the armor and her bearing.
All to show someone she desired as a potential mate that she was powerful and sensual - as a dragon in her prime should be.

"I'm so glad to see you!" And for one used to being cautious about her feelings Stephanie let go and threw herself to Ysera. This couldn't be wrong. The City couldn't be that cruel.

And then everything sped up as Stephanie threw herself into Ysera's arms. She wrapped her arms around the shorter woman and lowered her face to rest in her soft blond hair and inhaled her scent. Everything was alright now. She'd never be alone in this City again...

"I feel like I've loved you my whole life."

For now, there was only Stephanie.
Ysera nuzzled into her hair, longing to curl the tail and wings, she currently didn't have, around Stephanie. "I've been so lost in this world... But not anymore."

"I won't let you be alone. Everyone said this wasn't real, but I can feel it." But even as she spoke something churned in her gut. Any other time she would have listened to that feeling, it's what kept her alive so far, but this feeling of love overcame those feelings.

Ysera reached up to run gentle fingertips down the side of Stephanie's jawline. "And you are a beacon among dreamers that draws me to you in ways I cannot explain..."
