WHO: The Justice League! Captain Marvel and the Question are invited too.
WHERE: Ted and Booster's living room.
WHEN: 2/23/2011, indeterminate time (let's shoot for afternoon/evening?)
WARNINGS: Spoilers for Booster Gold series and hot butts in spandex.
SUMMARY: Monthly Justice League meeting! Booster reveals himself! Batman says some stuff! Everyone eats chips!
FORMAT: Prose to begin with and then W/E everyone is comfortable with.
Booster sent out the call on the Justice League filter. He also sent invites to Captain Marvel (why not? He was a white bread all-around nice guy) and the Question (he was a little shady, but Ted vouched for him). Their living room was quite spacious with their big comfortable couch, a television set, coffee table, and maybe a random sock or two around. The place was still not elaborately~ decorated, but he was giving it time. He also hoped Zatanna was bringing chips (and maybe an extra hundred he can throw into Ted's lab).
He was decked out in his costume and the kittens kept circling around his ankles as he paced the floor, readying his speech in his head.
When it looked like everyone arrived, he called to everyone's attention and began, "Hello. You all know me as the shining, four-times Best Smile winner for Teeth magazine, model-slash-actor, and Justice League veteran Booster Gold."
He smiled, gathering the reactions of his peers.
"I wanted to call this meeting, because...I wanted to set the record straight (that's how you say it, right Ted?). Uh, I know everyone thinks I'm a jerk or have been in the past and you're right, I was. I was just a kid who got kicked out of college, took up a low-level job, and wanted to be a super hero. I wanted to make a whole new name for myself and that's why I came here, because in my century, you guys are the greatest heroes everyone's ever heard of. I wanted to...amount to something and I liked the money, the fame, the girls--I thought that all came with the super hero gig," at this, he frowned. "I was wrong.'
'I lost a lot of friends in the past ten years. I've seen great people get hurt, paralyzed, and turned...wrong. I've tried to change it. I figured, since I'm a time traveler, I can just go back, and prevent all this from happening. But, I learned. Time traveling has rules, really strict rules, and it sucks, but I've got--well, had--a good teacher.'
'What I'm getting at is...when I defeated the Royal Flush Gang the second time to get the Justice League's attention...and I did all that heroic stuff for a week, so I can get in--then I just rejected everyone? That was for a reason. Time is like, ah, fabric and recently, someone ripped and poked a lot of holes into that fabric. I was called by Rip Hunter to fix it.'
'I'm a Time Master...alright, I'm in-training, but I've been doing a lot of time traveling and fixing these problems while still looking like an idiot to the public to keep my secret identity. Rip says I'm the greatest hero no one has ever heard of, but I can't do everything. I can't save the people I love all the time.'
'I'm not supposed to say anything back home. Only a handful of people know. I'm only saying it here, because I don't know how long we'll be in this universe. I can't fix anything here since I don't think time needs fixing. And if we do go back home somehow--we won't remember any of this any ways.'
'Aaand that's all I've got to say. Questions?"

He might've had a question or two, but he came here to listen, so he'd keep those to himself for now.

She did however eye Vic a few times. Harvey's name drop hadn't gone unnoticed. But he looked mostly in one piece. Not that she'd been worried or anything.

He noticed the attention, but mistook it for disapproval, one more expression of the generally unwelcome feeling he was getting out of the whole setup. He was an outsider looking in here, and he knew it.

Business meeting or not, Selina was apparently in a playful mood. She scooped up one of the tiny kittens and offered it to Vic. Completely straight faced at that.

But Vic was no hero, not if you asked him. He couldn't do the whole public thing, fighting gods and monsters. He needed his anonymity, it was his only fallback when things went bad. After all, the way he did things was, as Booster put it, a little shady. He wasn't even a vigilante anymore, just a curious guy with a mask.

Besides. Kittens made everything better.

When Booster is done with his spiel he navigates the mass of World's Finests crammed into the living room until he's next to Diana.]
We still have a few things to hash out.

We do.

A base of operations, for starters.

I don't know, I happen to like rotating living rooms for our meetings. Why don't we try yours next?

"Well, I guess that explains the fender bender," he piped up once Booster was done. "We never did exchange insurance, by the way."

J'onn smiled faintly, adding things up in his head. If it was true, and there ws no reason not to believe it now, then it explained a lot.

Also because not everyone here knows his secret identity deal. And because he flew here straight after school.
But he didn't really have anything productive to add, so he stuck with giving Booster a sympathetic look. Heroing is a hard enough business without throwing time travel into the mix.
