Hiei flitted from street lamp to traffic sign to rooftop, perching on each in turn as he crossed the City. He was in a pleasant mood that translated to, for those who could sense that kind of thing, a great sense of peacefulness that replaced the usual irritated vibes that he gave out.

All in all, it was turning out to be a good night.

There was a slight break in the long winter cold, enough to motivate a great deal of people outside longer than they really had to be, and Blue was no exception. Even under gray skies, there was an optimistic air that lifted a great deal of discontent - if only temporarily. It was a nice respite.

Even so, it wasn't like anyone could blame the Mu for being unable to associate positive and Hiei directly and right away. It didn't happen a whole lot - hadn't happened for a while, at least.

So color Blue surprised when, as he flew low over the City, the small shape darting high on the rooftops turned out to be none other than Hiei sans irritation! Raised eyebrows ensued.

He flew down low to match speed at a distance, not close enough to shout and be heard, but enough to be seen.

Has something happened, Hiei?

Hiei ran for a few more minutes, then came to stop at a suitably flat and spacious rooftop for Blue's benefit.

He was wearing a sweater.

"Does something need to have happened?

"Yes," Blue replied, landing gingerly before his blue halo vanished. It was warm enough to go without for a time, even with the wind. "Your mood is different than usual. What changed?"

"I'm having a good day for once. Don't ruin it by over-analyzing."

There wasn't a whole lot of bite to his words, which was also somewhat unusual compared to recent meetings.

"I have no intention to." Because heaven only knew how many peaceful moments were in their collective futures. Blue's smile was apologetic, regardless. "It was more to know if there was anything I could do to keep it good."

"That's over-analyzing," Hiei said dismissively. "Worrying about that kind of thing is pointless."
