WHO: Wildcat & The Catwoman
WHERE: The warehouse jungle paradise place.
WHEN: Saturday
WARNINGS: crazy catpeople
SUMMARY: After Helena was sent home, Tom told Selina that he'd come looking for her if he didn't see her... Well, it's been a week now, and nobody escapes his nose.
FORMAT: Starting with para, then on to Quick, most likely
Tom wasn't kidding when he told Selina that she'd better show up at the bar to check in with him. It was obvious that she was hit hard by Helena's disappearance, even if they were from different universes, and while she probably wanted to be alone. Tom knew better than anyone what being alone for too long could do to a person, though; He was a clear example of how losing a loved one changed someone. So, even though they weren't related, Tom wasn't going to let Selina be alone for too long. She was a good friend and important support to him here.
In hindsight, it was a completely unfounded assumption. She could have just been spending time with Batman or... whoever else she had here, but the fact remained that she hadn't set foot in the bar since they last spoke.
That's why Tom was wandering the streets, crouched on his haunches in panther form, acting more like a were-bloodhound than the predator he took after. His senses were so much better in this form. He could see in the dark, hear low and high frequencies, and could pick up scents from people and instinctively separate them from others. He might not have been the best fighter in the JSA, but he had no competition when it came to finding people, search and rescue.
His hunt finally took him to a warehouse, Selina's scent leading there and still new. There was something strange about this place though, from the other side of the door, he could smell soil, vegetation... All the things that didn't belong in a city like this. He didn't waste any time though, and snuck (unintentionally) inside, surprised to see an entire jungle growing inside the warehouse.
"Selina?" He called out. He could smell other animals here, a feline. He followed Selina's scent into the foliage, tripping over gnarled roots and such. Tom definitely wasn't the most graceful of jungle cats.

Ramus at least was good company. The upper level of the warehouse wasn't comfortable, but there was a full bathroom and a small kitchen, so it was livable at least. There was even a futon, on which she was currently napping.

It took him a while to realize that he needed to look up, instead of on the ground, and once he'd made his way to the upper level, he found her asleep. It was probably for the best just to let her sleep... Until he saw the leopard stalking towards him. "Good kitty. Nice kitty." He whispered, trying to get the large cat to stop staring at him defensively. "Selina? A little help?"
no subject
Of course, then she saw they had company. "Tom?"

He was relieved that she woke up though, and hopefully going to prevent any scuffles. "Hi, Selina." He waved, still keeping an eye on the other cat.

Selina shifted to a sitting position. She was fully dressed, at least. Not always the case when someone woke her up. "What's going on?"
no subject
He'll have to wake her up more often. He relaxed when Ramus seemed to calm down and sit down, thankfully not going to attack him for coming into his territory or disturbing Selina. He... definitely wasn't expecting that. After all, it figured that Catwoman would keep cats, but leopard was... well... It was a big cat.
He leaned back against a wall, crossing his arms over his chest and trying not to look as worried as he was earlier. He was calm... Really!
"You never came by."

"I said I was going to come find you if you didn't show up."

He wasn't going to be upset or anything though, since she was obviously okay. "It's a nice place. Have you been here the entire time?"
no subject
Selina t least had the presence of mind to get out of the bed, stretching a bit as she did. She could be a little polite when friends were calling. "Most of it, yeah. It's quiet." She glanced around, at a bit of a loss for a moment. "I can make some tea."

A pause. She already thought she knew the answer, but asked anyway. "How did you find the place?"
no subject
He didn't answer for a moment, considering how weird it would be if he'd told her that he knew her scent and could probably find her anywhere in this City if he wanted to. He wasn't stalking her, really, he'd just familiarized himself with her scent, and in this body he could identify and isolate scents among any others.
"I'm the best tracker there is." Despite himself, he actually sounds kind of proud saying that.

She sipped her tea. "And how are you, Tom?"
no subject
"Oh, you know, nothing new, really." He shrugged. "I've just been working at the bar, mostly, and I've started teaching a class at the dojo." He can't help but laugh a little. "Can you imagine?"

"You know, he pretty much did the same thing for me when I was a teenager."
no subject
"Did you ever give him a hard time?"

And it was the reason she'd had such a crush on him back then. He was one of the first guys she'd met that she could actually respect.
