WHO: Dick Grayson, Tim Drake, Carrie Kelley, Damian Wayne
WHERE: Titans Tower
WHEN: 2am, just in time for the ~*magic*~
WARNINGS: Tim and Damian in the same room, therefore potential violence, definite name calling, and Bat-angsting.
SUMMARY: Some Robins get together to watch old movies, when suddenly, two of them are much younger than they should be.
FORMAT: Quick to start, tag in however you like :3
[Tim hadn't exactly been keen on having Dick and Damian over to the Tower to "bond" by watching movies. Okay, so he would have been fine with it if it'd just been Dick visiting, but apparently the new approach was to try and force Tim and Damian to co-exist in a room for a few hours without trying to kill each other and see if it improved their "brotherly" relationship in the slightest. Tim was skeptical, and right up until the last possible moment he entertained ideas of running to Tibet until Dick left, but in the end he figured he might as well try, for Dick's sake.
And yeah, he'd asked Carrie to join them as something of a moral support, but it wasn't like she had many chances to bond with the other (ex- and current) Robins all together, and she was as much a part of the family as any of them.
Which was how he'd ended up sat on the couch, watching Bogart on the reasonably nice Titans' TV screen.
He forgot all of that, though, when it hit roughly two o'clock and he turned ten. From his point of view, he'd just been at home, reading, and now... suddenly, there was a bowl of popcorn in his lap? And he had no idea where he was, or who was sat next to hi-

Semi-invested in the movie like she is, she doesn't notice the change right away. Just keeps sneaking a hand in to steal some of Tim's popcorn, eyes on the screen. ]

Not that he noticed that part right away. He was sitting on the floor, back against the couch, scowling and making stupid comments about just about everything that happened in the movie. If he wasn’t going to enjoy this, then no one else was, either. And it wasn’t as if he was enjoying it a little, when he decided to say— )
Drake, stop being useless and hogging the popcorn.
no subject
...And then it's all forgotten in the next second when he opens his eyes and sees... Bogart. They're watching Bogart. He's on a couch he doesn't recognize with kids he doesn't know, watching Bogart. Watching Bogart in costume.
Dick lunges for the back of the sofa, upsetting the bowl of popcorn in that one kid's lap before he clears him. A vantage point. A place to start.]
...What just happened?
no subject
And Dick is on the back of the sofa, and he's Robin and he doesn't know what's going on either. This is the weirdest kidnapping he's ever so much as heard of, and he's somehow part of it, and that's not supposed to happen.
He squishes himself back into the corner of the couch and grabs a pillow to hide behind, mostly, just peeking over the top. Not... an entirely logical reaction, but it has a certain reassuring aspect to it.]
no subject
Um.
[ She glances at Tim, because that's just what you do when things are going strangely -- and fails to see him at all. There's just a kid, half hidden behind a pillow. Okay, maybe she sees Tim, if she looks closely enough in the darkness. Very small Tim.
She looks at Damian last, and -- oh thank God, she's not sure what she'd do if he were some toddler putting terrible things into his mouth. She turns back to the front again, watching the screen without actually seeing it. ]
Kinda hate the City, sometimes.
no subject
No kidding.
( His voice comes out as more of a growl that he meant, probably because Damian is now looking at the original Robin with something bordering on manic hate. The reason for this is probably a combination of things, starting with the fact that Grayson’s familiar presence is gone, and ending with the fact that it is now replaced with someone wearing his identity.
Everything hasn’t clicked in his mind, yet; on some level he realizes this must be Grayson, and that something has affected him and not Carrie or Damian, but it hasn’t sunk in yet. It’s only when Damian glances over at Tim, and sees him behind the pillow, that his expression turns almost feral and he lets out a derisive laugh. )
Drake?
no subject
Um, yeah, that's - me. Who are you?
[And what is he doing here, and why, and... his grip on the pillow tightens a little, but he's not afraid, he's not. Dick is here, which means he's safe, and Batman must be close, too.]
no subject
He takes a little hop down off the sofa, taking care to position himself in between the Drake kid and Mr. Scowlface. Just in case.]
Nobody knows how they got here. Right?
no subject
Right. All just... showed up.
[ A chance to see the original Robin in action? No way is she going to ruin that one. She aims a forcible nudge with her foot at Damian's back as she says it. Not a word, Damian, is the message in that one. ]
no subject
Right. We're all as clueless as you seem to be.
no subject
Then how did you know my name?
no subject
...So, um. Okay. Let's do role call. I'm Robin. Who're- [He casts an expectant glance over at the redhead. Maybe better to start with the neutral party.]
no subject
She's got it in two seconds. ]
I... think I knew that. [ cue wide eyes, a perplexed look. ] Robin, I mean. And Drake... [ a glance over at Tim ] Tim Drake, right? And Damain, I think. ...Weird. Any of you know me, or is this just one-way?
no subject
Right. Robin, Drake, and Carrie. ( Normally he'd call her by surname, too, but she had only ever introduced her first name to him so it just sort of stuck. )
Now that we've gotten done with introductions, can we figure out what the hell is going on?
no subject
Or maybe, he should leave the detective work to Robin. Either way...]
Okay. I don't know anyone but, um, Robin, and that's only from the news, so. Finding out what's going on and where we are would be... good.
no subject
He hesitates another second, then speaks up decisively.]
Maybe they didn’t lock us in. We should look around and see what’s here.
[-a little half-glance at Tim. The one kid who doesn’t seem to be involved is probably the best choice to isolate first.]
...So let’s split up. Drake’s with me.
no subject
You-- ["figure" is probably not the best word choice. If she pulls out her 2030's slang, it's just one more thing to explain. ] --really think that's a good idea? We don't even have a way to stay in contact if someone finds something. [ ...and, yeah, maybw that's greed talking, but she really wants to see him in action. ]
no subject
Yeah, great idea. Because you obviously want to have to protect him in a fight and have no one to watch your back.
( Fights, what fights? Who knows. Damian is just making stuff up now because clearly more lies will solve everything. )
no subject
But for now, he pushes the pillow away and slides off the couch, standing a little behind Dick and maybe just grabbing the edge of his cape a little. It's good if Carrie and Damian think he's more scared and confused than he really is, right?
Right. Defiantly:]
I can stay out of the way in a fight, he doesn't have to protect me. But he could anyway, he's Robin.
[Okay okay, reeling the fanboy part back in a little, ahem.]
What if we... met back here in ten minutes? After exploring. That's enough to go a little way but not too far and um, if anyone doesn't show up then the others know which direction to look in and it... shouldn't take so long to get to them that it's too late, right?
no subject
Guess it wouldn’t hurt to stay together. As long as we’re all in the same boat, I mean.
[He cocks his head a little and looks Damian in the eye through his mask.]
I bet I’m the only one here with combat training, anyway.
no subject
Right. [ she says it quick, hopefully before anyone else gets a chance to agree or disagree. ] And if it's dangerous, we could need that. Prevention's a better idea than hope we find them in time, anyway. [ sorry, Tim. ]
no subject
Yeah, right, whatever. Let's just do something.
no subject
He shrugs, then moves cautiously towards the nearest door. He's not quite surprised when it opens without a hitch.
Little glance back:]
Who's coming?
no subject
He is a little surprised the door opens so easily. Hmm. The question is, where does it lead?]
no subject
She doesn't bother push forward, though. It's just going to be the infirmary-- not much to see there. So she'll leave all trail blazing to Dick and Tim. ]

Suddenly conscious of the small audience behind him, he reaches into his utility belt and then carefully swipes the nearest countertop for prints. No real way to run them until he gets back to the Batcave, but it should help them rule out a few of the usual suspects.
He moves ahead a little, reaching out a glove to touch of another, almost familiar console.]
Kind of looks like people live here...
no subject
He can't really do much other than follow Dick and observe, which he does - part of that observation is how oddly unenthusiastic Carrie and Damian are about actually exploring, for all the earler talk. Hm.]
Wonder where they are.
no subject
[ She makes a decent show of looking around, but... her heart's not in it. Not when they could be finding their way outside, and into potential action. (And some part recalls the communicators-- she's gotta check hers, see if this is happening to everyone. It probably is.)
Eventually she steps back to the door again. ]
Nothing in here. You think we should find our way outta here?
no subject
After a moment, he calls out, mimicking Tim's younger voice for a minute before dropping it sardonically. )
Gee, this is really exciting. Can we move on, now?
no subject
Well, him and maybe Tim. He turns narrows his eyes, though the effect might be lost a bit behind his mask.]
You got something better to do?
no subject
Hm.
A little more searching, lower down, and he finds what he needs - a small emergency satchel that's still a little too big for him, and already stocked with a first aid kit and bottled water. Whoever was setting this place up, they were pretty good at organising, Tim thinks. He stuffs the bandages and wipes inside, and wonders if there's anything else here they might need before they move on - they shouldn't really need more than the basics, though. And food. Food would be good, and he kind of mouths "kitchen" to himself.]
