Visiting Hours

WHO: Vivi and anyone else who wants to visit.
WHERE: St. Joan's Hospital in the City.
WHEN: From today [Sunday evening] through to at least the next few days, until they discharge him.
WARNINGS: Outrage and a very injured Vivi.
WHAT: Vivi is stuck in hospital for a while thanks to the weekend events. He is accepting visitors.
FORMAT: Your choice - para or quicklog is fine. Just remember to put the day/date you're visiting.

Vivi sat up in his bed, staring out the window. The message had gotten out and he was glad to be back - he just wished he was home rather than here. He was getting better, certainly, but he didn't like all the gaps in his memory.

He stared and tried to reassemble his fragmented memories of the weekend, though it wasn't going especially well. His thoughts kept drifting, wondering if he was getting any visitors today...

Lyra had arrived as soon as she could once she'd gotten the message. Hair disheveled and bags under her eyes, she darted into the room. She didn't like hospitals, especially since they tried to make her leave Pan outside, but it seemed she was having to visit them more often.

"Vivi, what-" and then she choked up. Too many questions, too many emotions, were flashing through her head at the moment. Lyra took a deep breath and tried again.

"Are you all right? What happened, who did this? I'll-" Lyra clenched her fists.

Vivi managed a weak smile when he saw Lyra, though he winced in pain. He was very happy to see her, despite his pain. He took out the whiteboard and wrote on it, before showing it to Lyra. The writing movements were also painful for Vivi, but it was the only way he had to communicate.

MEN TOOK ME, HELD ME FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS. I REMEMBER ATTACKING THE PEOPLE AT WHERE I WAS TAKEN. THE LAST THING I REMEMBER IS A BIG MAN PUNCHING ME IN THE THROAT.

He pointed at his throat for emphasis; it was the most heavily bruised part of Vivi.

Lyra squeezed Vivi's hand, as several objects in the room started to tremble.

"Vivi, I'm sorry, and I swear- I swear, I'll find the people who did this to you."

Vivi squeezed her hand back and wiped a tear from his uninjured eye with the other one. He gave Lyra a weak smile - anything else made him hurt and reached for the whiteboard again.

I'LL BE ABLE TO HELP WHEN THEY LET ME OUT. THE DOCTORS SAID I MIGHT BE HERE A WHILE.
I DO REMEMBER KILLING A FEW OF WHOEVER THEY WERE, THOUGH. MAYBE THAT'S WHY THEY WERE ROUGHER WITH ME THAN ANYONE ELSE THEY TOOK he wrote out in a careful hand on the board.

Lyra nodded, squeezing Vivi's hand again.

"There are people with healing powers- I can find one if you want." Lyra's mind is racing now.

"Vivi. Did the doctors tell you who left you here?" Lyra reminded herself to talk to Vic Sage later. After she'd made sure Vivi was all right. After she'd managed to calm down.

Viv shook his head and cleaned the whiteboard again.

THEY DON'T KNOW. A VAN DROVE UP, THREW ME OUT AND DROVE OFF AGAIN.

DR. MORDIN SOLUS SPOKE TO ME OVER THE COMMUNICATOR - HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO COME IN AND CHECK ME OVER, MAYBE HELP ME HEAL FASTER. I'LL LET YOU KNOW IF I NEED ANOTHER ONE.

I WASN'T THE ONLY PERSON WHO WAS TAKEN.

It took him a little while to write out everything and he was suppressing how much the movement hurt, but he finished in the end.
