Visiting Hours
WHO: Vivi and anyone else who wants to visit.
WHERE: St. Joan's Hospital in the City.
WHEN: From today [Sunday evening] through to at least the next few days, until they discharge him.
WARNINGS: Outrage and a very injured Vivi.
WHAT: Vivi is stuck in hospital for a while thanks to the weekend events. He is accepting visitors.
FORMAT: Your choice - para or quicklog is fine. Just remember to put the day/date you're visiting.
Vivi sat up in his bed, staring out the window. The message had gotten out and he was glad to be back - he just wished he was home rather than here. He was getting better, certainly, but he didn't like all the gaps in his memory.
He stared and tried to reassemble his fragmented memories of the weekend, though it wasn't going especially well. His thoughts kept drifting, wondering if he was getting any visitors today...

Re: Great!
THANKS! MY VOICE IS STILL RECOVERING, SO I'M STILL USING THE WHITEBOARD TO TALK TO PEOPLE. WHAT DID SHE TELL YOU?

"Huh. Well that answers question one before I could ask it. Though I should have realized that answer," he remarked idly, mostly to himself. Shaking it off, he smiled at Vivi.
"Well, she said you got beat up and your memories were all messed up. I can try to help with both. I can speed up your healing and if you want...I can try to fill in the gaps in your memory and we can find out what exactly happened to you."
no subject
THAT WOULD HELP - I'D LIKE TO BE ABLE TO TALK PROPERLY.
I'VE BEEN TRYING TO FILL THE MEMORY GAPS MYSELF, BUT I HAVEN'T GOT MUCH TO WORK ON. THERE ARE A LOT OF BLANKS. I THINK THEY WERE ANGRY AT ME AFTER THE WAY I FOUGHT BACK.

"Alright," he smiled. "Let's focus on your throat first. I can speed up your natural healing processes. It's kinda cool, did it to myself a few times back home and really the sooner everyone gets out of this...hospital," he shuddered slightly. "the better," he nodded firmly.
"Then after that, I can see if my phenomenal cosmic powers can fill in those gaps for ya. That all sound good?"

He sta up, closed his eyes and waited for Freedom Ring to work whatever magic he had to help him heal.

Mind you, it felt a lot stronger than usual too. Not that Vivi minded; it just meant it was working faster.
A let a few minutes pass before he checked himself. His scars had healed over and he felt almost no pain. His throat was still a little sore, but...
"Umm... oh! Hey!" he said, going from cautious to surprised in a few minutes. Between Dr. Solus's medigel and Freedom Ring's magic, his voice had healed in days what would've likely taken months. He still sounded a bit rough, but the voice was back.
"Nice! I have a voice now! Thank you!"

Eventually he let out a breath and looked back up. "How do you feel?" he asked, wanting to make sure everything got fixed up well.

He held out one hand, palm up and concentrated, saying a few strange-sounding words, his gaze fixed on his palm. As he spoke, a tiny shard of ice started to crystallise in his hand, before slowly forming into a rough pyrmaid of cold. Vivi held it for a few seconds before stopping and putting the ice pyramid on his tray.
"It's a bit harder than normal, but my spell-casting works now," he said, sounding quite pleased.

The blond watched silently, just giving the little mage a strange look when he heard those words. Questions about the words were shaken off when Curtis saw the ice forming.
"Whoa. That's pretty cool, little guy," he remarked, reaching out to gently poke the pyramid with a finger.

His eyes moved to Freedom Ring's ring. "How does your ring work?"
no subject
When asked about his ring, there was only a shrug in reply. "I want it, it happens. That's about it. It's this powerful cosmic thing from my universe," he said a little awkwardly.
no subject
Vivi looked awed when Freedom said what his ring could do. "That's really powerful! I hope it only works for you; having it fall into anyone else's hands would be bad."
no subject
The look of awe made him smile and puff out his chest a bit. He could have mentioned that thanks to the Porter, he no longer actually needed the ring to use his power but he didn't want to spoil the moment. "It'll only work for me here thankfully. Makes ya wonder what kind of trouble might have happened if I hadn't found this ring like I had back home."
no subject
He shook his head. "So, how can you help with my memories?"

He sat cross-legged on the bed, closed his eyes and settled in, his arms relaxed and his hands resting over his knees. "Okay. I'm ready to try."

It was a while before Vivi spoke. "I... remember things now. There was a sharp pain in my shoulder when I was walking to the shops, and I dropped out. I woke up and there were a lot of strong men around, mostly speaking in a language I didn't understand. I felt really groggy, like I'd been woken up, and they started to drag me somewhere. There was a lot of grey around; I remember the steel in the walls helped me use my lightning spells. I broke free and tried to fight my way out before they jumped me and I blacked out again."
"I felt really sick when I woke up and my throat hurt a lot. There was... a man trying to talk to me, asking me about what I can do and where I came from. I didn't answer; that's why I hurt so much. Things are still a bit... hazy, but most of... I think I spent most of my time really drugged up, so they could keep me from breaking things again. There were questions that I didn't answer, fists and fire... it wasn't nice."
"Then I passed out again and woke up here."

"There were some men in white coats. One of them took blood from me, and others kept injecting things into me. I think they were keeping me groggy and sick so I wouldn't fight again. The one talking to me was a strong-looking man with blond hair and dead eyes."
"If I ever heard the language again, I'd probably recognize it. I can't really remember anything he said; I think whatever they were injecting me with wasn't helping."
no subject
"Okay, uhh...want me to try out some languages to see if you recognize them?"
no subject
There was a pause. "I don't think I'm going to get much else; most of what I can remember that I haven't said is just blurs of shapes when whatever they were injecting me with was working. If this is tiring you, you should stop."
