[so.
crete.
a perfect climate (not that Zel could much tell) with a fairly reasonable amount of separation from the population while still being close enough to still keep an ear to civilization. there's a great deal of ancient history around, too, to give it an aged feel that is, in a way, kind of comforting in the face of industry and tourism.
...well, maybe not the tourism, because there are some rather clogged parts they'd found were best left untouched. but still. the sight of something that arose long before all the technology did was a nice flavor to the area. blended in with the smell of the sea and...yeah. it wasn't too bad. this part of the continent was getting higher marks than the western parts from the rocky start of it all.
from high up in the mountains, the valley was an immaculate sight, similar but different from the Alps. it could put a mind at ease.
it was a good spot to camp for a while.]

or rather, sitting beneath one with her back to the bark while Zel set things up. it'd been a long time since she'd walked this much, this frequently, for as long as this trip had been thus far, and her legs were aching. high-heeled boots probably didn't help, but it wasn't something she was going to gripe about.
it was nice to laze about in complete uselessness.
well.]
You need any help?
[she could at least make the offer, even if the heat and the sea salt air made her drowsy.]

no subject
[in that case, Terra is just going to get more comfortable against this tree here and probably take a nap.
CLEARLY NOTHING CAN POSSIBLY GO WRONG after all even if zel falls into the fire pit it's not like it's going to kill him or anything.]
MEANWHILE AT THE LEGION OF DOOM
But then again, he was very bored, and halfway across the world was only a small ritual and a few steps away. ]
justice league starswipe...
blowing our budget on campy voice acting
when there's not as much empty space as before, she sits up, blinking away fatigue.]
Huh...?
[staring at yonder boyfriend ZEL WHAT DID YOU DO.]
so the special effects are skimped you bastards!!
So in a shock of sound, a split in the air that was more akin to arms tearing the space open before he stepped through, and right onto the firepit.
Oh look the fire is now lit. You're welcome. ]
no subject
so much for fish.
fortunately for Zelgadis' face, he can't get charred. but that's a lot of heat in the face, so it's a massive recoil, landing on his rump hard, eyes stinging.]
Agh-!
no subject
her hands press against the tree; her face is angled to the blind intruder, but her eyes are cast towards Zel. doesn't look hurt...]
... Hi.
[yes Terra that was a beautiful greeting, way to go.]
no subject
Zelgadis.
You have been out of the city for some time.
no subject
oh
hale
to the naw.
good day: ruined. blood: curdled. posture: BRISTLED LIKE PORCUPINE.]
What the hell are you doing here for-?!
no subject
THE WORST
MUST AVERT SOMEONE GETTING THEIR ASS KILLED (zel)
and so: terra pushes herself off the tree, slowly approaching idiots still in the fire pit.]
Did something happen?
[PLAY NICE.]
no subject
It has been quite some time, the city has been... slow. [...oblivious]
no subject
Zel gets to his feet making a point to stand at some way between them.]
no subject
Zel is going to be getting a whole afternoon of Significant Looks at this rate IF HE FIGHTS US WE PROBABLY WON'T WIN OKAY. So much neutrality in this tone.]
Only two weeks. That's not long at all...
no subject
It has been long enough. You should return. I am certain you have allies who may be missing you.
[ LIKE HIM... ]
no subject
so he bites down on his temper tantrum laundry list of Words.]
They're aware. There's nothing pressing we have to get back to if we don't want. [SO THERE.]
no subject
There's so much of this world we haven't seen...
[trying to not feel guilty re: all her stupid friends doing stupid things, but this is not entirely successful.]
no subject
The world is easily traveled, child. A step, and one can be in a new part of it, and this world, it is not so unique.
no subject
no subject
yeah boy she is bein yo shield now deal.]
And not for us. Even I can't travel as easily as you. [HEY LOOK AT THIS FLATTERY PLEASE DON'T TURN MY BOYFRIEND INTO A GREASE STAIN KTHX]
But you didn't... come here on behalf of our allies. What is it you want, Illidan?
[nicevoicechandes. ... illidan are you going to stand in that fire pit all day.]
no subject
[ GOD HE IS SUCH A CREEPER. Also his feet are on fire, he doesn't notice, but he's going to start walking now. Just to enhance the creep ]
no subject
teeth grinding, tho, that's pretty much open admission. Zel's a very active member.]
no subject
Perhaps. [it is almost FRIENDLY TEASING.] I didn't expect you to worry.
no subject
You have enough power, I do not worry about that.
no subject
So you've checked in. Everyone's fine. You can go.
no subject
no subject
No greeting? Are you still upset, Zelgadis?
no subject
yes
pretty much. but he exchanges a look with Terra, biting down a reply, exhaling sharply through his nose.]
no subject
I think... he would have liked to meet you again in his own time. [so much bullshitting, sounding exactly like so much truth, all arriving at placation station choo choo.
slow glance between Illidan and Zelgadis, thoughts faster.
HOW TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM...
AND GET ILLIDAN TO LEAVE...
WITHOUT SOMEONE GETTING SET ON FIRE...
zelgadis→ look at this here plaintive TRUST ME ON THIS expression and don't kick up a fuss now KICK IT UP LATER.
illidan→ don't set dudes on fire.]
Illidan, can I... talk to you for a minute?
no subject
he looks like a scolded puppy for a second, mouth drawn taut. he doesn't buzz off, though!]
no subject
look at these wide girlish eyes of the chick that dragged you across an ocean and part of a continent
she ain't gonna be hoppin the two-step express back to the City when yo back is turned.

:s
TRUST HER ON THIS.]
