Despite living in the house they're all currently partying in, Ian is really in the same situation. He hasn't been in the City long enough to make a whole lot of acquaintances.

And, proper English gentleman though he may be, he's also somewhat used to chilling with unusual-looking people. So it's with considerable ease that he ends up standing near Hank, nibbling shamelessly from a plate loaded with snack food.
