SUMMARY: Teens and young adults in an RV driving to NJ to have a drunken bonfire. What could possibly go wrong???

Jessica was beyond excited. In the days leading up to the RV trip, she barely shut up about it. Even as she boarded the RV Laura had procured for their adventure and took the shotgun seat, she could barely stop talking. It was a beautiful day in the City, and the weather reports for their destination in Southern New Jersey called for blue skies and sunshine. It would be perfect beach-going weather, and it was bound to be the perfect summer night!

[It was later in the afternoon when Laura finally stopped wandering around to take a moment and just stretch out on a towel on the beach. Her hair had dried from earlier moments in the water, and was pooled around her head, one hand on her stomach and the other on her towel.]

[In her bikini she looked like she was tanning, but she couldn't actually tan. She was actually just watching the afternoon clouds and listening to the others wandering around.]

[That's a really nice sun up there. Or at least it was until Julian's shadow obscured it, owing to the fact that he's floating a few feet directly above Laura and looking down at her. He's been in the water for actual hours, so is just dressed in swimming shorts, but he's been flying around in the sun for the last while and is dry now]

Hey, Laura. Why are you by yourself?

[girlverine]

[Laura shifted her gaze slightly to peer up at Julian as he floated into view, and one eyebrow went up in consideration of how he was just...there. She never got used to casual flyers, it just seemed...wrong, somehow. Not that she didn't enjoy the flying when she got to do it, but still.]

Hello Julian.

I have been socializing.

[She'd even spoken to people she didn't know!]

[hellionated]

[Yeah, casual flying isn't too normal. That makes Julian like it more, so he's oblivious to any weirdness that other people may feel about this. Flying is cool, everyone should think so.]

Yeah, there's like...a lot of people here. [He knows you. And Wilder. And Buffy. And, no one else.] You tired of the crowds?

[girlverine]

Not really. I think I adjusted on the RV.

[Laura shrugged. She didn't have a real reason for lying down. She just...wanted to.]

I am just relaxing. I don't have a reason.

[hellionated]

[Okay then. Drops down to lie beside]

Y'know, I didn't know you could drive. That's pretty cool.

[girlverine]

I was trained to control most standard vehicles if necessary. An RV is similar to a cargo truck, though the steering wheel is larger.

[A little pause. She shifts onto her side to look at him.]

I can also fly a small plane.

[hellionated]

You've had to fly a plane? When?

[girlverine]

I was thirteen.

[No, she isn't going to say more than that.]

[hellionated]

[Not like he doesn't know what she was being made to do when she was thirteen. It's something he'd never push on.

...Usually.]

You ever done it since?

[girlverine]

No.

But I still remember how.

[hellionated]
