WHO: Tom and Ggio
WHERE: Forest
WHEN: Weekend weekend!
WARNINGS: None
SUMMARY: Tom and Ggio go camping
FORMAT: Prose to start, then whatever
It was long overdue that he'd promised Ggio a vacation to get out of the City for a few days. They'd gone to the beach and have camped before once or twice, but it'd been a while since they'd had a chance to just get out and take a break for everything. Tom, for the record, didn't really like camping that much. He was a city boy through and through, and despite his wilder side, he was out of his element without concrete, cars, and streetlights. Still, Ggio liked being out here, and Tom wanted to keep the arrancar happy.
Still, it wasn't all bad though. It was cooler out in the woods, and it was nice to sleep in until the sun woke him. Of course, he'd made sure to pack enough packs of smokes as he could hide, since Ggio would try to throw them away, and beer to get him through the weekend, and an ice chest full of food just in case. He knew that Ggio wouldn't be happy about it, but Tom didn't really like the idea of hunting and killing his own meal. For now though, he sat outside the tent, smoking idly while he waited for Ggio to wake up.

It was long overdue that he'd promised Ggio a vacation to get out of the City for a few days. There was no way Ggio would put up with going hungry, granted, he was always hungry. Although it wasn't really noticeable most of the time now, when there were so many things to distract him and fill his time. He was happy to unknowingly babble to Tom about all the creatures he could hear and smell, and tell about how he would hunt each of them, or about why they wouldn't make good prey.
He only paused when Tom suddenly picked him up, which wasn't something unfamiliar, but being placed on his shoulders. The arrancar blinked down at him in surprise, silently, glanced around at his new perspective, and finally laughed, batting away branches that threatened to smack him in the face. He probably snapped a few, even the large ones.

And he would never let Ggio go hungry, especially since he knew how the arrancar was. He'd made sure to pack an ice chest as full as he could with food, just in case they didn't catch anything, even packing some frozen, raw meat that he promised not to cook for the weekend.
He smiled to himself and kept walking down the path, content with everything for once. He even didn't mind Ggio describing the best ways to gut a deer they passed, just keeping his hands on Ggio's thighs a little more firmly, just in case Ggio had the idea to go and chase it at that moment.

When the lake came into view, he bounced a little on Tom's shoulders, pointing at their destination.
"It's there! Hurry up!"
no subject
"Okay, okay!" He held onto Ggio's thighs a little longer to keep him balance and still as he picked up his pace and jogged down to the lake, and, before letting Ggio down, he flopped into the water, taking the arrancar in with him.

However, he wasn't about to test the limits of his partially human body, and he waved his arms around until he broke the surface of the water, laughing.
no subject
Tom laughed as well when he broke the surface of the water, swimming over to Ggio.
no subject
"What the hell! Were you trying to kill us?" he asked jokingly. "All the fish will leave."
no subject
"The fish will come back. You wanted to swim anyway. I just wanted to get back in the tent." He wraps his arm around Ggio's waist, pulling him close while treading water. "You got my shirt wet."
no subject
"I won't hunt while you sleep, that's not fair. You should hunt for me."
no subject
"Why would I do that? I already caught you." He grinned, knowing that wasn't what Ggio mean, probably.

Now that his feet were settled on the bed of the lake, he pulled away just a bit from Tom, rolling his shoulders. he was enjoying the nuzzling, after all, turning his face this way and that and tilting his chin up.
"This shirt is heavy."
no subject
"Why don't you take it off, then? You hate swimming in clothes."
no subject
... But he knew that when pushed, Tom could be just as fierce as any Hollow, and honestly, the thought of being consumed by him was rather exciting.
"And you don't swim in fur," he retorted, his tone light, and raised his arms.
no subject
"Are you suggesting that I should change back?"
no subject
"Yeah," he answered. "Or your fur will be dirty." The arrancar tilted his head, expression cheeky. "I'll do the same."
And he pulled at the waist of his shorts. He really did only ever swim one way, and who was here to tell him no?
no subject
"It'll just get dirty when I change back, you know that," He smirked, knowing that wasn't really what Ggio cared about.
He was caught a little off guard as Ggio slipped out of his shorts so easily, then sighed softly, shaking his head with a soft laugh. "Fine, just because I'm not the type to be unfair." And then he slipped out of his fur.
no subject
"We'll clean up later," he replied, not concerned with the details. When Tom had returned to his human form, he laughed, and threw his arms around him, jumping up and hanging off him for a moment.
"Much better!"
And in the next moment, he was off Tom and back in the water a little distance away. Dipping beneath the surface, then coming back up with a shake of his head, standing in it chest deep and looking around.
"Now where are the fish...?"
no subject
That's why he pouts as Ggio swims away before Tom could even return the hug, before slipping under the water for a moment, pushing his hair of his face.
"We probably scared them off. You're still serious about catching some for dinner?"
no subject
Amber eyes stay trained on the water, and Ggio idly flexed his fingers as he kept watch for the telltale flash of scales. But hearing Tom splashing behind him was too distracting, and he looked over his shoulder to see what he was up to.
And kept staring.
no subject
He doesn't respond to that right away since he catches Ggio staring at him for some reason. After checking to see if there's a leech or something on his shoulder or whatever else it could be, Tom tilts his head curiously.
"Is everything okay?"
no subject
Only the arrancar was red in the face and so obviously flustered. He turned back to the water, but he was frowning, too distracted, so when a fish did start to creep towards him, Ggio's movements were off. Sloppy. He missed, and fell into the water with a curse.
no subject
"Fish later," He hums softly, blushing a little from the close contact and the lack of clothes, already feeling a bit frisky. "I'm not hungry right now."
no subject
He still squirmed, though, as if he protested the idea of putting off food for a while. However, that purring gave him away, as well as the way he stretched his neck for Tom. The embarrassment of his failed catch completely forgotten thanks to Tom's attention.
"So what now?" He asked, giving a light lick to Tom's cheek.
no subject
The werepanther's lips just barely ghost over the arrancar's neck, licking him lightly before leaning over his shoulder. "What now? We relax, of course."
