The afternoon was sunny with a pleasant breeze. A tent had gone up in the yard, and each of the main rooms of the house were decorated along the theme of a garden paradise. Enchanted leis and large straw hats were there for the taking, and various wizarding games had been laid out: exploding snap, a chessboard whose pieces currently looked rather board, Pin The Nose On Voldemort (with a variety of comedic noses to choose from). there was a table, already piled high with gifts but with plenty of room for more.

Food had been made and set out, and meltless charms had been cast on all of the icecream. There were wo big bowls of punch. One of them is charmed to be spike-free, the other...well. It may eventually dissolve the bowl and the table beneath it.

All that is missing is YOU!

"Forgot one? What do you--"

She looked down at the replica. Then back up at Sirius. Down at the replica. Back up at Sirius.

Then she, well, exploded with laughter would be the only way to describe it. Laughing so hard she had to grasp her sides, taking long and deep breaths as she tried to regain her composure.

"The nose! You're! It's!"

Now this is the sort of reaction an attention-hungry showoff really craves. Even if he has no idea what she finds so funny.

Sirius grins back, and reaches up to boop the faux-nose with his other hand.

"Boop!"

That merely elicts a fresh peal of laughter from the lady. Not quite as loud as the last time, but she's still wheezing for air when she's done cracking up, so that must count for something.

"Boop!" She enthusiastically agreed, wiping away a few tears. "If I ever see him again - in History of Magic texts - that's what I'll think of from now on. Boop."

"Anything to liven up old Binns. To whom do you refer, though, oh symmer blossom?"

Sirius idly sticks her mock-nose to his forehead. And then waggles his eyebrows, making it wiggle bunny-nose-style.

She bit down hard on her knuckle, trying not to chuckle.

"Why, He-Who-Has-No-Nose, of course," she said. Then paused and added. "Summer blossom? That’s very nice, thank you, but I was going for Festive Bumblebee. People think they’re a bit odd -- insects, you know -- but I’ve always found them quite cute."

Sirius nods in understanding.

"Pish posh. Dumbledore's an old word for bumblebee, and he's as normal as they come."

SOMEONE is teasing Luna. ...And speaking about Dumbledore in the present tense. Ohhh time streams.

"You're comparing me to Dumbledore?" Luna flashes Sirius her most charming smile. "That may be one of the nicest things I've ever heard."

Now someone's messing with Sirius... and choosing not to correct his tense for the time being.
