Dance the Night Away

SUMMARY: A night of salsa dancing was the perfect way to catch up with people and meet new friends, Sofia wasn't quite prepared for what people consider dancing

The dance hall is downtown, near a few bars. Cheerful salsa music is playing, and some songs have an instructor guiding the newbies through. The rest of the songs, are a free for all.

There's a seated area for anyone needed to grab a drink after a fast dance. Sofia is there, grabbing a coke while she waits for her friends.

He was pretty much doing half what Sofia taught him, and half trying to copy what others were doing. Salsa seemed to be mainly instinct anyway, or at least he thought so. He was probably wrong and screwing it up hugely, but he didn't care.

"Good," he said, sounding pleased. "Cause me either. Sofia's an expert at all of this, she had to teach me."

"I believe I understand the basics," she said with a faint shrug, moving with him. It was like training, in a sense, mimicing the moves of people who did it better than her until she was doing it properly. Though mistakes...frustrated her.

"I saw you two dancing. You seemed to learn quickly."

[hellionated]

"I'm a quick study." At least, he was when he wanted to be, and he'd wanted to go dancing with Sofia for a very long time. He wasn't doing anything but the most basic moves, though. "And she's a good teacher. Anyway, you can talk. You're picking it up pretty quick yourself."

[girlverine]

"I am...also a quick study." Laura shifted faintly as she tried to sort out all the specifics of dancing, since dancing with him was different from dancing with Sofia.

"It is very different from other dancing I have done."

[hellionated]

"Same." Julian noticed her shifting and moved a little, drawing more flush against her so he could lead her better. No room for discomfort in salsa, Laura!

"What kind of dancing have you done?"
