(no subject)

WHO: Meiran and Ari
WHERE: Streets
WHEN: Saturday afternoon
WARNINGS: Nada
SUMMARY: Chance meeting between the two leads to yelling
FORMAT: Prose

The fighting of the last few days should have eased her anger, but Meiran still felt wound up. She's been feeling like trowing a tantrum ever since her husband left and no amount of training or dealing with the undead had changed that. Still feeling that way after over a week just made her angrier.

After a morning of pacing around her apartment, Meiran was heading back to the park for more practice. With the foul temper she was in, she almost pitied the person who made the mistake of speaking to her today.

"You weren't the one moving out of the way either," Ari pointed out flatly. Not that anyone ever did, but... that wasn't the point.

"You expect too much from strangers." Which said far more about Ari's opinion on the Natives than himself. "Next time, move yourself."

"What makes you so special?"

"Nothing, then?" Ari returned dryly.

At least Marlene was a princess.

"Because that really means something."

Really. Ari had no idea what in heck that was. Her name? Her family? Some term of self importance?

...

"So you're named after a dead guy."

Least she wasn't carrying one around in her shadow.

Yep. This was familiar territory. "Why?"
