everything is scary forever

WHO: Shockwave and Giselle
WHERE: Wavehouse
WHEN: Laaaate evening 8/10
WARNINGS: LADYWEEPING
SUMMARY: are all the good things ruined forever aka SHOCKWAVE IS OFFICIALLY NOT THE MOST DEPRESSED
FORMAT: No

Giselle was safe and sound, safe and home - a home, not hers. Not the sweet little tree hollow she'd spent so many happy years in with all of her delightful forest friends. There were no rainbows breaking through the clouds after a misty, rainy morning, kissing the leaves just enough to leave droplets that caught the light like perfect little jewels. No songs to sing, no cookies to bake or happy dreams to sing of...No, no happy dreams at all. How could she possibly fall asleep now? Not after something so scary.

It felt like the tears would never end, and when they did, why...all her mind had to do was wander back to those scary moments and she was sad all over again. Sad and scared and lonely. She missed Pip and the forest animals. She missed Edward. Edward, who had rescued her from scary things once before...For all the things that happened in the City, why couldn't she have her Edward? Instead, she'd been so frightened of her rescuer she had screamed in his face and practically tripped over herself with fright. It was all wrong, and she just didn't know what to do.

She wept, face buried into the pillows of the bed that was hers for the time being. Panthro and the others were there - sweet, sweet creatures that they were, they worried for her so and she loved them very much, but...but she was just so sad. The saddest she'd ever been. It was just too much to process.

Very rarely were things as quiet in the house as they were when Shockwave had gotten home. And the last thing he'd expected to find was a crying female. He'd completely adjusted to having Giselle around, but she was so often extremely cheery and musical that he had only seen her sad a couple times. It was not exactly the most common thing to happen around the house at least.

To be honest he wasn't exactly sure what he was supposed to do. Obviously he needed to make certain she was alright, that she would be alright... But he'd never been very good at fixing things like this.

Still he had to try, so he found himself lightly knocking on Giselle's room door, poking his head inside.

"Giselle... are you alright?"

There's a shake of Shockwave's head as he steped into the room. There isn't anything for Giselle to be sorry for, nor is there reason for her to try and act cheery when she so clearly isn't.

"What happened?"

And how could he fix it?
