Sirius had been holding something in his hand, hidden by the door, which he banishes with a wave, as he steps into the church. Seeing Snape leap to his feet at the very sight of him is gratifying. He looks as on-edge as ever.

"And yet here you are."

Sirius keeps his voice neutral, but can't quite bring himself to be polite. 'Out of sorts' is a kind way to describe his general emotional state in the wake of Remus's disappearance, and it would be all to easy to fall back on making Snape his punching bag. But this isn't his house, and it is a church. ...He takes a deep breath and scrounges around for some manners.

"How's the shoulder?"
