[ SO THIS IS A GWEN waiting patiently outside the mac for a jess.

she's a little anxious (because it's going to be weird seeing things look not how they're supposed to) and a little awkward (because she's hanging out with peter's clone and there's all kinds of weird stuff going on with alternate universe people and... yeah....) BUT SHE'S WAITING.

I think it would be weirder if stuff was the same. Because then we'd be expecting more than just the house to be there. And I already keep looking over my shoulder and waiting for Aunt May to tell me to do the dishes.

So... How was Aunt May?

Really good. Stuff was pretty crazy for a while there, but it's all getting back to what passes for normal. I think she loves having a house full of crazy teenagers.

Yeah, honestly, I'm not surprised. I'm just -- you know -- glad she's okay.

It's me, Peter, Johnny and Bobby living with Aunt May. MJ starting to hang around a lot more again and Kitty just came back from wherever she ran off two, but neither of them live with us.

[ kitty.... awkward face..... ]

Wait, so why are Johnny and Bobby even living with you guys?

[ definitely awkward face ]

Bobby's parents kicked him out for being a mutant and Kitty's mom kicked him out of wherever he'd been sleeping at her place. Johnny... had some trouble at home. He just showed up on our doorstep one day and then passed out on Peter. The rest is history.

[ note to self to ask johnny about it later ]

But it sounds like you guys have a lot of fun together though.

[ she smiles fondly ]

We do. We're like one giant, crazy family.

Sounds like a pretty nice family.

[ wistful look. rocking back and forth on her heels while hanging from the hanging thing ]

I mean, Peter's been here longer than me. But Johnny got here after I did. Like a month or so.

Must've been weird, being the only one from home here.

It's weird. I had no idea there could be so many spiders before I got here. At home, it was just. You know.
