A Night In
WHO: Sofia Mantega & Julian Hellion
WHERE: Sofia's appartment in the Mac
WHEN: Early Monday evening
WARNINGS: a lot of cuteness
SUMMARY: It is a totally innocent evening of watching films on the sofa.
Sofia had no reason to feel nervous about the evening. It was just going to be a harmless evening, watching films with Julian on the couch. This wasn't supposed to be a big deal. The closer it got to seven o'clock the more Sofia flitted around the room, doing everything from straightening cushions to repositioning the glasses on the table.
By the time she flicked the television on and put the volume on low she was giving herself a firm talking to. 'Get a grip Sofia, what do you really think is going to happen tonight?'

Which, he actually didn't know what to make of. He just knew he liked it and didn't want it to change.
They weren't going out, which left him with an obvious problem: what the hell did you wear to a night in watching movies? He had no damned clue, that wasn't exactly the type of date he was used to.
Not that this was a date.
Finally he pulled on dark blue jeans and a black bowling-style shirt and made sure his hair didn't look dumb. Then he told himself to stop freaking out so much because he wasn't some sixteen year old idiot hitting on her anymore. And he headed over to her apartment, knocking the door and resisting the urge to run his hand through his hair again.

"Sure," he said. "Whatever you're having." There was a pause while he leaned forward and brushed a hair away from her face. "You look good, too."

"How about this?"

"I like that," she takes the dvd out of his hand and goes and slides it into the player and comes back and sits down curling her legs up under herself. "I like how much we see each other now."

Which was weird, but Julian liked it.
“Yeah, I do too,” he said. “You better watch out cause I’m starting to get used to it.” He shot a smile at her and remembered what she’d said before. “So you got your first paycheck. You like working at the coffee house?”

"It's really good for a job. I do get to hear a lot of stories when people stop in for a drink." She settles back against the sofa, close to Julian's arm. "And the coffee is good and strong. You should call in sometime. I can at say hello and serve you coffee."
no subject
"Much more coffee and you're gonna take it as proof I'm an addict," he teases, but rolls his eyes. "Actually, me coming to bug you at work is a great idea. Which cafe is it?"
no subject
"It's Agnes. She has the most scientific coffee machine I have ever seen."

Okay so, maybe it was kind of like a date. He hesitated for just a second, and let his arm drop to go around her shoulders. Hey, if she was cuddling, she probably wouldn't mind and --
OH YEAH they were talking about something.
"Uh, that...scientific how?"
no subject
"There is only one coffee machine and there are a lot of buttons on it that I have not even tried touching yet. There are no labels on them, so I have no idea what will happen if I push them."
no subject
“If I worked there, I would’ve pressed them all. Maybe at the same time. I haven’t even seen it and I wanna know what they do.”

"Thanks for the vote of confidence," he said, shooting her a grin. "These days I try to not blow things up unless they really deserve it."

...There was a really strong chance that this was a date.
"I've had a lot of incentives."
