(no subject)

WHO: Slipstream, Vector Prime
WHERE: The skies above the City. Like, really really above.
WHEN Late Monday morning.
WHAT: So Vector was shamelessly encouraged to learn to dance. He'd rather start off with the kind he already knows, and Slipstream is going to learn by doing.
FORMAT: Paragraph

There is an undeniable order to the movement in dance. Even in its most chaotic, there are patterns, and these patterns are set to a beat that is as undeniable as the very pulse of the multiverse. The tempo may vary, the steps may change, but always, always, there is a method to the seeming madness, if only one has the patience to search for it.

Is it any true wonder that someone with a soul of Order finds beauty in such a thing?

The first dances he made were those with his siblings. Literally, made, taking steps that would be repeated and refined as the generations passed. And though he stayed disconnected from the species for ages, it is not something so easily forgotten - nor ignored, when reawakened. Certainly, at this point it is more an indulgence than anything, and he does have duties to attend to, work to finish...

...but he waits at the rooftop where he's asked her to meet him, eyes on the sky as he tries to read the air currents. He hasn't, for months; he's never had reason to. And he was designed for interstellar navigation, not atmospheric. But the latter is what they'll be using as a stage today, as soon as she arrives.

It was a challenge to follow so closely, a challenge she desperately wanted, needed, required. Here in the City she was stagnant. No plans, no wars, nothing to do aside from sit tight and wait, and waiting wasn't her strong point. It never had been and likely wouldn't ever be.

The in and out patterns were easy enough to pick up, and she returned the smile with her own determined one. She might've even added a few flourishes of her own, here and there, twisting happily through the sweeps.

Well, that was unexpected. Slipstream half-turned to follow him before she realized what he wanted.

Oh.

Oh.

And then, she grinned. Take the lead, hmm~? Why yes, she could do that. Easily. Happily. And while her fragile human body wasn't built to take the speeds she preferred, she was still no slouch.

An abrupt twist and flip took Gs that made her teeth hurt an her bones ache, and then she took off. Not going so fast he wouldn't be able to catch up. After all, what was the fun in that? Just fast enough, shooting straight through a low-hanging cloud, her jets dispersing a hole in the center.

She lacked his grace, perhaps. But certainly had the skill.

She kept an eye on him as she twisted back up into the sky, grinning at his use of the sword and its powers. Good thinking.

Slipstream took him through enough loops and barrel rolls to make anyone but a jet dizzy; and even then the Gs were getting to her ever so slightly. Still, the sheer joy at being airborne was evident in her every move. Nothing would ever be better than flight. Nothing, not ever.
seekerfemme: (Wicked | DND means slag off Starscream.)

yessss, wrapping up.

She noticed how he slowed and dropped back, and changed her speed correspondingly. After all, what was a game of chase when the chaser wasn't able to keep up? While it was fun to win, this sort of thing didn't need winning. It wasn't a competition, though Slipstream did gloat a little to herself at being the fastest.

Not that he was competition in that respect, honestly.

She flipped to face him, jets still sending her backwards, and grinned.

"Out of fuel?"
seekerfemme: (Flirt | is it incest if we...)

Uh. Don't look. :X

"Oh, of course," came her quick, impudent reply, but the smugness vanished from her expression in favor of actual happiness. Funny how that worked, with a Decepticon.

"We'll have to do it again sometime, yes?" Please was the word she left unspoken.
seekerfemme: (Smirk | Dramatic sideways pose)

Totally okay.

Slipstream paused to think about it, then nodded, almost as if it were a travesty that a Decepticon - even her, who'd never really been part of all of that - would ever have fun doing something that didn't involve blowing things up or attacking the Autobots or what have you.

"I did. Same time next week?"
