[ Ginny is the most awkward around Snape. She knows that technically, he's not an enemy. And that really, she ought to be comfortable around him, if not downright friendly. He'd saved everyone, after all. They just hadn't known it at the time.

As it turned out, it was a good deal easier knowing that in her head than it was to act it out in person. In person, she still remembered the man who'd been her least favourite teacher, who'd picked on her and her housemates for no reason. And of course there was that whole year at school where she was actively resisting his regime. Old habits died hard, apparently. If any evidence was needed as to her relationship with him, it was given by Snape himself when he used her full name. No friend of hers did that. ]

I work for my brothers, yes. We've got a stall here if you wanted to see what's on sale. [ She looks at Callie and smiles. ]

Sorry. No, I'm all right. It's nice to meet you; I'm Ginny. I'm a bit new here, too; what's the DOI?

[She nods at her]

Department of Integration. We work for a part of the government that runs immigrant relations- Imports included.

Found out there hasn't been much done for you Magic types. I'm planning on remedying that.

[Lapsing into silence, Snape doesn't mention that he's going to be one of the first magical contacts new comers will be referred to for other contacts.]

The Weasley twins were successful businessmen in our world, and Miss Weasley helped run a student underground during wartime. [Yes, he knew. Yes, he allowed it. Let's see what Ginny thinks of that.]

[ Ginny looks startled, and can't help staring at Snape for a minute. All right, so this shouldn't be so strange to her. She knows that he was on the right side now. He'd known what she was doing, of course; he'd caught her at it, caught her trying to steal the sword. But that he seemed to know about the whole DA movement is a little jarring. She blinks, trying to re-focus. ]

Er...yes. I had very good reasons for that, I assure you. [ She looks up. ] And my brothers are hoping to be successful businessmen here, too. I'm working with them. We've got a stall here, if you'd like to have a look.

[Callie nods]

Yes, please. Lead the way.

[She tilts her head]

So what product or service do you and your brothers offer?

[Snape lapses into silence as they head back to the booth; he wonders if the twins will be there, and if so, how behaved they'll be.]

[ Ginny is incredibly awkward around Snape, and is very aware of his tall, silent form next to her. She wonders if he ever took lessons in how to be intimidating, or if it just came naturally. She does lead the way, though, heading towards the stall. ]

My brothers are inventors. I'm just working for them, really, they're the designers. They make all sorts. Like fireworks, Extendable Ears, Daydream Charms - those are some of my favourites, they give you a thirty minute daydream, magical obviously. It's very realistic. And they make other things as well, like hats with Shield charms inside.

[Callie blinks, smiling just slightly]

Impressive. I'm assuming this is only for the magic community?

[Snape smirks, but doesn't answer.]

[Also, his ability to induce the heebie jeebies is pure talent, refined over twenty years of teaching. He actually doesn't enjoy her reaction -- it's not her who he needs to scare lately -- but it's gratifying to know he Still Has It.]

“Oh, no!” Ginny smiled, shaking her head, and then quickly amended. “Well, it would be at home. But not here. We don’t have to keep everything a secret here the way they do at home, so the twins are making it available to anyone.”

"Hm... interesting. I'd be careful with that if I were you. Definitely get your bases covered legally. With specific Import goods like that, you have to make sure none of the natives get a hold of it and use it incorrectly otherwise it'll be on your head."

Ah, well that’s confusing. Ginny doesn’t know if the twins have done that or not. Or if they’ve even thought about it, since neither of them had mentioned it to her.

“I wouldn’t know a lot about trading laws here.” Actually she wouldn’t have known a lot about any Muggle laws, much less American ones. “Is there someone who could advise my brothers on that?”

"Have them talk to me or my associates at the D.O.I. We'll get guys protected." Callie nodded. Perhaps this is a legal matter she could push on Yuri.

“I will.” Ginny offered Callie a smile. The last thing any of them needed was to get in trouble with Muggle law that they didn’t understand. “Thank you for letting me know.”

"Hey, it's what we're here for." She nods to her.
