she's nursing a bit of a jealous wound in her heart after witnessing some of the fans reactions to the imPorted magical populace, but it doesn't show in her smile as she stops where she's going to approach him for some quick idle chat.]
Seems like you have a lot of fans, hon. I'm surprised you never mentioned it.
no subject
While I know you would have believed me, there are... things they say here that are not true. And some of it, unfortunately, is.
[He wonders how much she's picked up -- from his dark past to his lost love to noble death. There are things he doesn't tell people for good reason, after all.]
no subject
[there's a smile. she hasn't heard the full story nor know of the details, but it's hard to ignore some of the fangirlish sighs and whisperings.
she's picked up information of his death as well, but decides that it's not something to bring up.]
no subject
I think they are viewing a terrible situation through rose colored glasses, as young women are wont to do.
no subject
[she takes note of his look and. well...it strikes a chord. she's felt the same way many a time, and has probably made that similar expression at least once or twice.
she'd hate for all her information to be out in the public and widely discussed. briefly, her mind flickers back to when Eddie had been here, and how he had mentioned something about Hollis' book airing out all the Minutemen's dirty laundry.
her expression falters, but instead she changes the subject.]
How's the suit workin' for you, hon? It looks even better now that it's all fitted.
no subject
[Something about fairy-tale bullshit, yes.]
[Still, he grabs on to the change of subject like a dying man to a life preserver. Clothes are much easier to talk about then lost love and everybody knowing how pathetic he was.]
It's keeping the young women from recognizing me, which was my intent. It's serving me well, in that -- moment of image change.
But I still refuse to cut my hair. Especially for a pack of sobbing children who know too much.
[So there.]
no subject
she laughs. she had a feeling that hair of his would be a sensitive subject.]
Well, I'm glad you're at least finding it useful. I'd hate for that little detour of mine to have gone to waste an' only hear about those suits collecting dust in the back of your closet.
[she looks up and over towards the crowd of people wandering around, some in cosplay, others holding...well...whatever the hell they're selling here.]
It's nice to know your fans are enthusiastic, though. Don't you find it flattering?
no subject
If I had not been with Bellatrix and had to keep my control, I likely would have thrashed him.
[There are limits. He's got some very firm ones. That was one of them.]
The others, they're not as bad. Foolish, mostly. It's fiction to them. They're allowed to apply their own views...but for me, it's my life. But I've seen other people I know in pictures and films and things here, so I suppose others must be in the same predicament.
Is this what it was like for you? Things like this - fictionalizing your life? Making up new adventures for you? Art and cartoons... [And yes, pornography; she appreciates being desires; he finds it bewildering, really.]
no subject
[she seems interested in the topic despite how uncomfortable it seems to make him. but again, having pornographic cartoons floating around with her in compromising positions was.
well.
she had always laughed and found herself flattered by them. but. that's not much of a surprise.]
It wasn't as...grand as this. We've had fans come up with ideas of who was seein' who in our group, taking pictures, asking for autographs, an' a few other things. But this is all a bit different, y'know?
[she smiles.]
But porn's always been around hon. C'mon, you're not the least bit flattered that there are women out there drooling over you?
no subject
They had to be removed by security, and were the cause of my change of clothes for today, to attempt to make it more difficult for their ilk to find me.
Apparently, I only attract romantics and the insane.
[This is Snape's life.]
no subject
she's had her fair share of crazy fans
Eddie being her biggest one...woops, but the spiritual part was a bit.well......]
And Hollis used to call my fans bad.
[she takes a moment to control herself, inhaling.]
Just goes to show that love makes folks do crazy things. Especially the impossible sort.
no subject
It's best that it's not spoken of, isn't it?
[He pauses, and then asks, a bit quieter.]
You'll forgive me my deception, then? Or at least understand -- my thoughts on it's necessity.
no subject
Trust me hon, I understand. We all got something to hide.
no subject
How did you end up here, anyway? Unless you're a secret witch and have been hiding it all this time...?
no subject
[there's a coy smile.]
You're not the only magic-user I know.
no subject
Unless they're of my world -- we are ridiculously numerous here.
no subject
[she has one of their Day Dream Charms waiting for her back at her hotel room, after all.]
An' I've known Zee for awhile. I would've figured all you magic users somehow get to know each other one way or another.
no subject
[But, then, they're Weasleyss. What can you expect from a Weasley?]
Ze-- Zatanna? I've only spoken to her over the comm; I've yet to catch her here. A very busy woman. Perhaps you can introduce me later.
no subject
[because she may or may not be developing a slight addiction to their Day Dream Charms WOOPS.
Sally looks around, as though trying to spot Zee out in a crowd to get introductions out of the way. Instead she catches a glare or two from people who've recognized just who she's talking to, and turns her attentions towards Snape again, brushing it off.]
Oh I'll be sure to introduce the two of you when there's an opportunity.
no subject
Yes, certainly. [If he's agreeing about the twins and business, or Zee, who can tell? For now, he just gestures.] It'll be some time before I see Callie - let me buy you a drink and get out of the sight of my loving fans... who are looking at you like they may start another brawl.
no subject
so, because she's just that kind of woman who thrives off both negative and positive attention, she takes this as an opportunity to playfully link her arm in Snape's.
personal space? what personal space.]
Lead the way, hon.
no subject
[Snape runs on hate and determination. No more, no less.]
There a hotel bar not far from here... [He'll head there straightaway, and let people gawp, talk, or -- hopefully, not notice the Muggle wit the red-head that isn't Lily Potter.]
no subject
Taking a gal like me out for a drink? My, what would your wives have to say to that?
no subject
[Oh look, a glorious bar. Sally will be happy.]
no subject
[The ones who did know who she was, though, had been traumatic enough. She could've gone her whole life without knowing what the term 'GILF' meant, really.]
[Never mind what dirty theories they had about who was really Nymphadora's father.]
[She's swirling her glass of scotch when she spots Severus and -- no, the hair is different and they're too close, not Lily -- his friend. She flags them over enthusiastically; now she doesn't need to look like the crazy middle-aged cougar-type.]
