[Poor Neville. He doesn't seem to be doing quite well enough of a job at hiding in his sweater, because he's been spotted.

Not by Ysera, who honestly has no idea who he is. But by the small gaggle of fans in red, blue, and yellow Hogwarts scarves that had worked up the courage to stop the tall woman in the elaborate druid regalia (http://www.wowpedia.org/images/b/b8/Dreamwalker_Raiment_night_elf_female.jpg), with the far too real horns and pointed ears to go with her green hair.

One of the fans in Gryffindor red was currently asking Ysera where Severus Snape was. She was shaking her head as she replied, but her words were drowned out by one of the girls wearing a Hufflepuff scarf and a badge that said "Honey Badger Don't Give a Shit" as she spotted Neville passing by. She actually squealed and ran over to him.

"Eeee! It's Neville Longbottom! Ohmygod! Can you sign this for me?!"

[She's pulling a heavy book out of her satchel as the rest of the group turn to look. Even Ysera is looking at him, mildly confused, with her eyes closed.]

"Oh! Oh wait! We've gotta get a picture of you two together!"

[Behind her, one of the girls wearing Ravenclaw colors gasped and bounced excitedly.]

"That's right! Neville's like... a Wizarding Druid or something! We've gotta get a picture of him and Ysera! She's the Aspect of Nature!"

[The rest of the gaggle of fans broke into excited chatter, even as the 'Honey Badger' Hufflepuff tried to corral Neville over to Ysera.

For her part, Ysera just looked bemused, and more than just a touch apologetic toward Neville. She could tell he wasn't exactly comfortable with the attention. But she'd found it best to simply humor the fans and then move on.]

I, er -- what? Could I -- well, sure, I supp--

Er -- hi. Are we--? What's going on?

[Ysera offered him an apologetic, but reassuring smile as the group of fans ushered him over to stand next to her six foot plus height.]

Hello, Neville Longbottom, is it? Be at ease. I believe these children would like a photograph of us standing together.

[The 'Honey Badger' girl made a sound that wouldn't have been out of place coming from an excited puppy.]

"Yes! Oh please! Just like that!"

[Another girl in Gryffindor colors was holding up a camera now.]

"Just... squeeze together more... a little more! Oh! Oh! Could you put your arm around Neville?"

[Ysera's long ears twitched up in surprise at such a forward request. She glanced down at Neville with a questioning expression. Before speaking quietly, and a bit apologetically to him.]

...It is easiest to humor the young ones who just want photographs. Would you mind?

Not at all, it's all right... Just one picture, right?

"Just a few! It won't take long at all. Pleeaase?"

[The girl in Ravenclaw colors clasped her hands in front of her chest and bounced a little as she made pleading eyes at Neville and Ysera.

Ysera let her hand rest lightly on Neville's shoulder as she smiled down at him before addressing the girls.]

I'm afraid I don't have time for more, you understand.

[Several of the girls pouted and expressed their disappointment as well as understanding. One girl in Gryffindor colors with a bright red and gold purse even apologized profusely for taking up their time.

But the rest were taking pictures. And the 'Honey Badger' girl even pulled out a cellphone to take a quick video."

"Smiile!"

[The Gryffindor with the largest camera chimed out.]

So... are you famous, then?

[Ysera smiled more for Neville's question than for the camera, but it was enough for the Gryffindor-fan. The camera flash went off, even as the others snapped a few more quick shots.]

"Oh, that's perfect! Thank you sooo much!"

[The camera holding girl gushed her thanks profusely as the rest started chiming in with their gratitude.]

"Eee! This is so amazing! Thank you, thank you!"

[The 'Honey Badger' girl bounced and practically wiggled in delight as she clapped her hands together.

Ysera smiled and nodded at them before speaking more quietly to Neville.]

I'm fairly widely known of back in my homeworld. But I had not truly realized how many people in this world knew of me until coming to this Convocation.

[She looked down and smiled warmly at Neville.]

I confess it is most unexpected to have so many strangers knowing who and what I am. I imagine it's so for you, as well?

Er... yeah. No one knows who I am back home. Except that I'm the child of my parents. It's loads different than this -- whatever this is.

I've never seen a gathering quite like this back home, either.

[The girls had formed a little gaggle as they chattered excitedly. As they started heading off, a few of them waved at Neville and Ysera. A girl in Ravenclaw colors actually gave a quick bow to Ysera before hurrying after the rest.

The 'Honey Badger' girl hesitated, glancing from the group of girls to Neville and back. Then she suddenly darted forward to attempt to hug Neville around the waist. If she succeeds, she's going to try to slip a piece of paper with her phone number into his pocket.]

"You're so awesome, Neville! Nobody'll believe I got to meet you! Thank you!"

[And then she stood on her toes to try to kiss his cheek.]

Oh -- blimey -- yeah, I can't quite, um, sorry... They seem a bit nutty...

[Ysera smiles sympathetically as Neville turns back to her. While she hasn't been groped, some of the daydreams of her male 'fans' were much too explicit for her to want to pay any amount of attention to them.]

They're certainly... enthusiastic. I would not call them 'mad' of course. But, for many here, it seems as if being at this Convocation is an excuse for them to step away from mundane reality, and live for a time, in dreams and imagination. I have never quite seen it's like, before.
