SUMMARY: Lol Buffy and Peter have a sleepover (pokerface)
FORMAT: para? actionspam? we give no fucks
Getting off work late always meant he was running a little high on adrenaline to begin with, but considering he was going to go see Buffy after they'd become official along with having spent a few days apart-- well, none of that really helped take the edge off. He almost had to laugh; when had it gotten to the point where going a few days without seeing her made him feel as if he was missing something? It was something he hadn't wanted to think too much about before, but now that they had at long last put a name to what this was, he couldn't help but confront it.
Even then, he had to shake his head at himself. He'd tried so hard not to form connections out of fear, and look where he'd ended up. In the same place he always did; pitifully attached. Not that it had turned out so badly this time.
The walk to Buffy's house was quickly becoming a well worn one, not that Peter thought he could manage it in his sleep quite yet. But he made the walk quickly enough, telling himself once or twice that maybe he should keep his exuberancy in check, lest he end up looking a little bit ridiculous for getting there too quickly.
But he was knocking on her apartment door soon enough, gently just in case her roommate had gone to bed. It wasn't exactly the earliest in the evening anymore and Peter's gaze fell to the floor underneath him as he waited.

Throwing her duffel from Magic*Con on the floor, she flips around to open the door, obviously knowing who's on the other side. "Peter," she greets warmly, only pausing a moment before going to hug him. But then she's pulling away before she can get caught up in his scent, shoving her fingers into the back pockets of her jeans and inclining her head for Peter to come in. "This is my ..boyfriend."

She sets down her things and folds her hands in front of her. The witch smiles at warmly at the man who steps inside. Though Tara has her suspicions before it was nice to see her with someone. One of them should be enjoying their love lives here after all. Just from a first glance he seemed nice enough. "Hi." She unfolds her hands to offer a small wave. "I'm Tara. It's nice to meet you."

Smiling back warmly, Peter lifted a hand to offer up a return wave and a slight nod of the head. "Hey, you too." Gaze flicking momentarily to Buffy, he shuts the door behind himself before toeing off his shoes by the door. Turning back around, his hands had already made their way back into his own pockets, trying to keep from being overly awkward in the face of a.. well, potentially awkward situation. Peter wasn't used to this anymore, being introduced as someone's boyfriend, and he was trying to keep from making too much of a fool of himself.
"Have a good time at the convention?"

"Do you want anything? Um. Iced tea or - something?" She felt so lame.

"Oh." She glances over at Buffy. "Do you want me to make some late night snacks? You could catch up with Peter... and I can take care of the drinks too. If you want. Uh- I don't know if she usually makes your iced tea," she explains to Peter. This was going well.

"But yeah, sure. I'd take some iced tea. Last thing I had to eat was stale coffee."
