WHO:
slayerpreferred and
sdrawkcabcigam.
WHERE: Vegas. Not Canada.
WHEN: Very early on Thursday, September 15th.
WARNINGS: TBA. Idk.
SUMMARY: Mature and rational adults deal with their issues head-on... by drinking and gambling. And at some point seeing Thunder Down Under.
FORMAT: Action!
They'd left early afternoon on Tuesday and Zatanna had checked the Network a grand total of... once in this whole while. Catching Bruce had been fortunate, but she'd quickly ditched her phone back at her place before moving back to Vegas with Buffy. The plan was to return maybe on Friday. Maybe.
She aimed for them to hang around hotels and casinos that she hadn't performed at. Right now, they were on the main floor of one of the swankier hotels, sitting in a pretty little private area surrounded by empty glasses that were about to be picked up as fresh drinks were dropped off. They'd gone casual for a bit, but tonight they'd gone for the VIP treatment and, the thing about that? You had to dress the part. The shopping excursion had been done while completely sober and it showed. Thankfully, being tucked away as they were, it was easy to ward off any potential suitors.
Gambling was being kept to a minimum. Even if Zatanna needn't cheat to win, it always came off that way. She'd dip her toes into that one they had decided to leave to go home or to a new place. Give or take a bit and they'd be ready to head off elsewhere. Food? Dancing? Karaoke? Strip club? The choices were endless... but most likely one of the latter two.

"Where to next?" she asked, trying to project as much cheer as she could as she sipped on her mojito.

"Um." Zatanna was out of booze so it was clearly meant to be, heading elsewhere. "We could head out to a proper club? Karaoke?" Was she drunk enough to take karaoke seriously? "Or. We could do... that one thing. That we talked about." Strippers. How taboo, Zee.

She felt so adult, which was funny because she was acting like a child really.

Zee still is sipping at the bottom of something large, frozen, and fruity. The slurping sound is obnoxious.

"Pretend what never happened?" A sweet smile as she bounced off the stool. It was at least time to move on.

Since she was getting up, Zatanna follows suit, somewhat comforted by the solid ground under her feet. She gingerly takes a few steps, almost experimentally. There's no wobbling, so it would seem that they're good to go. "Guess we should be on our way." Once it hit about four in the morning, things were a bit slower. Less fun, somehow. There was plenty of time until then, but her mind wasn't quite grasping that at the moment. It was like every second they wasted they were moving far closer to that point in time.

"Maybe I should text him," Buffy says suddenly, trying to muddle through the truths and her own emotions before coming up with the right name. "Peter."
