WHO: [livejournal.com profile] thebadturtle [livejournal.com profile] michaeljangelo, a [livejournal.com profile] blondevigilante, and an [livejournal.com profile] supertorso walk into a fair
WHERE: Upstate NY Fair
WHEN: Early Saturday afternoon
WARNINGS: mentions of fatty food and spinning rides
SUMMARY: Stephanie has invited her friends for a day of fun
FORMAT: whatever we want (yea)

Stephanie stood at the entrance of the fairgrounds peering past the crowds for those three familiar faces. Okay, so two of those faces would probably stand out a bit more than Kara's face. The fair was something she had only really been to a few times, but those times were great memories and she wanted to have that sort of good time with her friends new and old. Cass would have been asked to come, but then she might have invited Reilly and after that "conversation" at the ball she really didn't want to see that idiot anytime soon.

Tickets at the ready she smiled widely and waved her hand when she spotted her friends.

Raph was there with Mike. The former turtle was dressed befitting what he'd been up to: fixing a classic car that had once been a tool for evil in jeans, a t-shirt and heavy boots. The car was coming along nicely, but still wasn't ready to drive them out there yet. That's what skateboards and public transit were for.

He walked along his baby brother, gaze flicking here and there, taking in the sights and sounds and smells-- and some of the looks he got. Still, he was calm. For now.

As luck would have it, the latter turtle is also clad in an outfit befitting his daily activities. Though...because Mike spends the bulk of his time surfing the network from the comfort of his couch, his garb has a far more slacker feel:

Orange-striped Adidas shelltops, khaki cargo shorts, and a t-shirt with the logo of a popular Indy Comic about Pirates.

It's a good thing Mike specializes in sensory overload, because if he didn't...he might be a bit overwhelmed right now.

Kara's mentally cursing herself as she flies out to the fairgrounds in her civvies. It figures that the day she's supposed to meet up with Steph and the freaking ninja turtles is the day she's running late. She grins as she lands a hundred odd yards away from the group and waves.

"Steph! Hey! Sorry I'm late," she says as she jogs over towards them. "I didn't hold us up, did I?"

INCOMING HUMAN CONTACT. Raph's amber eyes go wide for a moment and he endures contact-- awkwardly.

He is not a big hugger. He does not really know what to do with his hands, so Steph, alas, is very briefly the albatross around his neck before she releases him and hands off tickets.

"Uh. Sure." He glances to Mike before incoming flying girl gets his attention. Well, it's an all imPort party!

This? Is gonna make for a really interesting afternoon.

It's neither exaggeration, nor hyperbole, to say that Mike hugs better than any other turtle. Okay, maaaybe Franklin might give better hugs, but Mike would ninja kick him so hard he'd be out of contention anyway, so the point there is kind of moot.

Having said that, hugs are things you don't normally spring on say....ninjas. They don't tend to handle surprises well, which is kind of funny all things considered. So when Step ninja!Glomps them Mike is taken by surprise. Once his threat level recalibrates to hug however, he's golden and giving the perfect hug with just the right amount of squish to duration ratio.

"We just, you know...got here."
