(no subject)

WHO: Vector Prime and John Derpbert
WHERE: Some toy store that sells action figures! So like... pretty much any toy store in the city
WHEN: Earlier today
WARNINGS: Nope!
SUMMARY: They talk about action figures, YEAH.
FORMAT: Bracket things.

[ John is amazed how long it took him to get to a toy store! Though honestly, considering how long into his stay it took him to get to a joke store, he shouldn't really be that surprised. It was kind of disappointing, with the amount of free time he really did have on his hands it was sort of dumb of him not to use his time usefully.

... By running around a toy store.

Yep.

[there is absolutely nothing wrong with running around in a time store. there are people of all kinds here!...including one colorfully-dressed old man, who's regarding a carded figure with no small amount of bemusement.

/this/ is the best they could do? really?

[it takes a moment for Vector to realize he's being watched. when he does, he lowers the toy a bit, blinking, before holding it out]

Did you wish to see this one...?

[being what looks vaguely like a starship out of Star Wars, painted gaudily, and the promise of turning in to a robot. it is, after all...A TRANSMORPHER!]

[...? Vector tilts his head, blinking once]

Well, I have been mistaken for others before, though I will admit your voice is familiar as well. [he smiles wryly] Forgive an old mech's memory. I am Vector Prime, if that helps.

-ah! [recognition comes over him, and he lets the toy rest at his side] What brings you here, my friend?

[identity profile] spacetimeprime.livejournal.com 2011-10-18 02:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Are you planning well, perhaps...?

[...oh, this? he chuckles very softly, amused]

Any...'merchandise' of us disappeared when we arrived. But that doesn't mean they'll certainly try to recover their losses.

[he offers the toy to John for him to see. it's a knock-off only in name, and attempt to get around the Porter's workings. the design is typical Transformer, if there is such a thing.]

[identity profile] spacetimeprime.livejournal.com 2011-10-27 10:16 pm (UTC)(link)
There's differences in mold. I think that most of their design notes may have been destroyed, in the aftermath of our arrival. But they can still remember, and try again.

That one, in particular, was renown for having a piece that would break off with the slightest bit of pressure. They seem to have fixed that flaw.

[identity profile] spacetimeprime.livejournal.com 2011-11-02 10:13 pm (UTC)(link)
I never met him, personally. I would hope not.

[identity profile] spacetimeprime.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I should hope not, as well! With any luck, there is a capable medic nearby in case such an event occurs.

[identity profile] spacetimeprime.livejournal.com 2011-11-21 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
...well, you have doctors, do you not? Their function is the same.

[KEEPING PEOPLE RUNNING SMOOTHLY and all that]

[identity profile] spacetimeprime.livejournal.com 2011-11-24 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
[he nods] Essentially. Humans and Transformers are not so dissimilar, and I think that is a help for those of us who have been put in to these forms. Though they differ - there are enough similarities for us to not feel truly lost.

Of course. Eating was a new experience, for example. And one that has shown itself to be quite enjoyable.

[identity profile] spacetimeprime.livejournal.com 2011-12-04 07:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Not as humans do. I could tell how much nutrient was in the fuel, whether or not there were toxins, but it it took skill to actually fool the sensors in to taste. I only knew a few mechs who could do it.

[identity profile] spacetimeprime.livejournal.com 2011-12-11 05:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Maccadam was - is - quite the popular mech for it.

[identity profile] spacetimeprime.livejournal.com 2011-12-14 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah - not quite. For being able to mix energon and other fluids to create taste, or at least a far wider variety than what is common! Imagine...

[he thinks for a moment]

...imagine seeing things in only certain colors, for whatever reason. Then someone comes along and mixes those colors in such a way that it creates new ones.

[identity profile] spacetimeprime.livejournal.com 2011-12-20 03:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Or perhaps if you could see in those colors, but they were all the same shade, no matter where you went - and then someone added in black and white, to create hues.
