Lean on me!
WHO: Sirius Black and YOU
WHERE: Moonybase, Potterbase, Nill's church, a pub or something, I AM HAVING ALL OF THE SCENES.
WHEN: any time this week or last, just make a note of timing in the tag.
WARNINGS: Wizard angst and wizard logic.
SUMMARY: It takes a village
FORMAT: WORDS.
It was not the worst month of Sirius's life, not by far, but that was more a symptom of the tragedies he'd already lived through than a lack of trying on the part of fate and the Porter. The fight with Remus, Ruka attacked, Bellatrix back, Lily gone, and now the possibility of Voldemort... Everywhere Sirius looked, tension and tragedy looked back, reflected in the eyes of his family. As much as he might miss Lily, however (and Harry, still), there was a part of Sirius that could not despair as long as he had James and Remus with him. Which was good, because outside of being physically present, James and Remus themselves were not being the most helpful: caught up in their own tragedies, this was certainly understandable.
Historically speaking, Sirius wielded his penchant for dramatics to distract and entertain his friends when life got tough, but there was simply no out-performing the Porter, and the thought of what happened to Ruka bared his teeth as well. , and above all else, just very stubbornly being there, in dog form as often as not. He knew Ruka'd need space to...adjust to her new perspective on life, so to speak, and Remus... They hadn't talked about it, but in this case, that was because Sirius acknowledged and understood that he was following Remus's lead in this, not any particular avoidance, at least on his part.
All the same, a man needed some relief from care and worry. There was part of him that rolled its eyes at the ideal, but Nill's church had become something of a sanctuary, and he'd come to enjoy nights out at the pub with Andromeda, and even occasionally Eddie or Zatanna. He'd been spending less time in his workshop, but talking shop with the Weasleys (the twins and Ron as well) was a welcome distraction, and he always felt better after checking in with their wider circle of friends.
[OOC: This is a catch-all for Sirius CR. Named or not, feel free to start a thread with him!]

Nill's Church, today
"Ah....hello."

"Hullo. ...Friend of Nill's, I take it?

"I just like to walk around here. It's......peaceful." No lie, she was just a bit scared of him. He did look really intimidating.

When there aren't riots going on in the city, that is. Sirius lowers his hand and regards her for a few moments with thoughtful grey eyes.
"I'm Sirius Black. An import, if the visual eccentricities didn't give that away."
no subject
"I'm Nico Robin. I'm an import, too." He wasn't so bad. Saul was a giant, and he was really nice.
no subject
"I thought that might be the case. I'm here for similar reasons, truth be told...I hope this doesn't sound offputting, but would you like company?"

meh, how about Monday evening, the 10th? some PUB
He was starting to travel further from the MAC to find slightly different entertainment. He still only wanted a drink and to be left in peace, but he was bored with the establishment closer to home. Nice though that guy was to let him in with a sword. He was pretty far away tonight, shouldering his way into a pub that apparently didn't notice the blade at his side - or if they did, didn't care enough to try to throw him out. He looked like he'd use it on the bouncer if they did.
Check!
"Ah. Mr Geddoe, just the man I wanted to see. I've got a booth in the back I like to pretend they keep for me, come, let me buy you a drink."
eeeee!

He followed Sirius to the table and slid into a seat, leather creaking the whole way. "I'll take any good ale they've got. Thanks."

Once the ordering was taken care of, Sirius settled in himself.
"How are you? I hope you and yours haven't been touched by the attacks recently."

Sunday; the park

[Rather than stop and say hello like a sane man, Sirius pauses, jogging in place, and starts dancing about trying to jump over and around her shadow until she notices him.
[Granted, it is easier to pretend you don't look ridiculous when you decide to just have fun instead!]
thursday evening, her church
Not that it mattered in the church--it was almost always empty. Only a few times during her stay in the City had she ever entered to find someone else present, whether they were praying or just looking around. They had always been polite and tried speaking with her, and she always felt bad for not actually being able to converse. But most of them got the gist of her muteness quickly enough and let her go about her business without interruption. Not that she minded the occasional interruption, especially when it came from one of her friends.]

Hullo, Dovie.

let me know if this is ok!
I'm glad to see you too! Sorry I haven't been by as much, but it's been...busy, lately.
perfectly fine!
ONE MILLION YEARS LATER
October hasn't been a good month for me for a long time, after something very bad happened, but that was...that was a personal tragedy, nothing you need to worry about. Something happened that makes me want to be sure that you're being careful, however. Someone hurt Ruka very badly, and there have been attacks in the community.
idk what you mean this is on time okay
Man you use a way more awesome calendar than I do, I should switch. :3
i do indeed have the best, most forgiving calendar

FRIDAY NIGHT, some random dark street
So she grabbed her coat and walked out into the night, relishing the sharp tang of the cold air as she breathed it in. She wasn't going to stay out for long, just enough so she won't feel suffocated when she returns to her flat. Besides, she wasn't entirely powerless without her magic. Her hand reached down to her side, fingering the blunt edge of the sheath that held her dagger. She was perfectly capable of defending herself should something happen.

Even so, they were Blacks, born and bred and raised steeped in magic, and she had nothing presently distracting her. He more than half expected her to feel it coming, and to counter the spell...
no subject
Instead, she drew out her dagger, fully aware of how pathetic it was of a weapon against a fully-trained wizard. She cast her eyes around the darkness, alert for any signs of movement.
"I know you're there! Show yourself!"

Sirius apparates behind a row of cars on the other side of her, much closer, and tries again. Expelliarmus this time, also silent, though God knows the apparition hadn't been. This was a faster spell, a surer shot - it would be harder to dodge.

"Well, it looks like I'm now completely unarmed. You can stop being a coward and come out where I can see you."
