[Zatanna wants this over and done with as quickly as possible. She hesitates, like pulling off a band-aid. With some luck, it'll dull to just an ache soon enough. This weekend is going to be busy and she really doesn't have to deal with his crap.

She appears in Bond's place surrounded by smoke and she floats to the ground, toe to heel. He's expecting her, but she still calls his name.] James?

[She's not in costume. Just a form-fitting pencil skirt and a blouse; her hair's pulled back into a messy ponytail. She still hadn't found a dress for the ball tomorrow and she had what? Just over twenty-four hours? This is what she'd be wearing out on the town as she searched.

She doesn't quite notice the difference in appearance, at least not until she moves closer. (Ohhhh Mr. Connery...) She folds her arms under her chest. Her tone suggests that she finds this to be a waste of her time.] Quit playing games.

Well, I'm glad one of us is amused.

[She doesn't make any motion to take it.] Just because you're particularly handsome right now doesn't mean that I want to talk to you.

I don't know what this is! [Her arms move, finally, but they're raised slightly into a defensive gesture.]

Oh, of course. I should have known. No one else you know that can change the appearance of others? [Just like everyone else. Using her.] I don't know what your problem is, considering this isn't the face that I want to punch.

I'm not so petty. [No, she just would rather give him the silent treatment.] I wouldn't make you better looking out of spite. [ZING.]

Better looking than you were before, yes. [Which may slightly imply that yes, he is normally attractive.]

I ask for your support and all I get is insults about my personal appearance.

I take time out to cook you something that I don't even eat and I wait all night for you, worried sick that something happened and you ditch me for some floozy. I'd say we're more than even. [She tried really, really hard not to sound like she was hurt when she said that. She kind of failed.]

I have many specialties. [She's not even going to ask why he looks the way he does or how it happened.] I can most likely reverse it, but that's all. I'm not staying for a drink or anything. [Man, is she ever (still) livid...]

And here I was thinking you'd be showing some concern for a friend. No bloody point in it all if you're going to make it out to be some favour I owe.

Right now you're just some asshole who certainly hasn't treated me like a friend. You don't owe anything James. [Somehow, her saying that doesn't offer any comfort.]

I miss one dinner and you act like it's the end of the world.

[She's visibly hurt.] Perhaps it's better, like this. [She holds out her hand, gesturing toward him. The light around her changes in some way before she even speaks and, if you blink, you might miss it.] Nruter. [A very non-specific request, as she cuts her hand through the air and it sweeps around him, doing just as she asked: returning him to the way he should be.]

[Her hand falls to her side, little wisps of leftover magic dissipating into the air when she does so. She stumbles a few steps backward, away from him.]

Are you sure I can't tempt you with a drink?

[She looks at him like a deer before headlights. Frozen and uncertain. Why was she still here?]

... I don't bite.

I've done what you asked of me. [She doesn't take a moment to think on it and just goes, leaving a cloud of sparkling smoke in her leave.]

Oh.

[She hates him so much rn. :(]
