WHO:
osreborn and
bedeviledspider
WHERE: Manhattan, Norman's Penthouse.
WHEN: Tuesday Night.
WARNINGS: Perhaps a little violence. We'll see.
SUMMARY: Reilly decides to check up on an old enemy.
FORMAT: Action.
[ Getting to Manhattan was the easy part.
Sure, easy was a relative term. Even with his years of experience, 'porting so many times was exhausting. And there was that minor mishap on the way - how was he supposed to know that, in this world, there was a ladies bathroom there instead? - but nothing was going to stop him. Not once he'd started digging up all the details he could on Dietech.
Not once he begun to suspect that someone else had it out for Osborn.
Perhaps he was a little possessive of his old enemy. Or stupid. Or stubborn. That's probably what Parker or Matt would say if they knew he was here, pulling a spare shirt over his face, ninja style. Watching the goblin's place. Waiting for the perfect moment.
Now.
A slight sulfuric scent wafted through through the penthouse. Then there was a plume of flame and puff of smoke -- and inside it, a young man with a bad mask and a rather inhuman smile on his seemingly human lips. ]
Osborn! I hear you've been having business trouble. My condolences.

He headed downstairs, following the sound of a voice and narrowing his eyes and he turned the hallway corner. ]
I have my doubts that you broke into my home to express your throes of grief of my behalf. What are you really doing here? [ Ninja... boy... ] Besides courting trouble.

Oh, now now. It's not fair of you to assume! Although, with a disposition like yours, it's not surprising you'd have more enemies than friends.
I was hoping you'd answer a question for me. Why was Dietech attacked? What did you do this time?
no subject
Me? I didn't do a thing. Maybe Dietech's made itself some enemies that you don't know about. Why would I be responsible?
no subject
I realize the outfit may have you confused, but don't mistake for me a moron.
Am I supposed to believe it's a coincidence that a company you had shares in, that did Research and Development for your corporation, just "happened" to go boom? Or, among all ther other things that you've forgotten, did the knowledge that you're a man with many enemies somehow escape that terribly coiffed cranium of yours?
no subject
[ He raises his eyebrow. ]
Then again if it were, why look for reasons beyond a simple grudge?
no subject
Unless -- you certainly have your share of enemies. Not that I can blame any of them. Let me guess, is a dog finally biting back?

Our system isn't about vengeance.
Unfortunately, when it comes to manipulative murderers like you.

[ His hands fold behind his back. ]
If they're striking at me like you suggest, I sincerely hope I'm not next.
no subject
If you were next, it's exactly what you would deserve. Tricked for all your "treats", Goblin.
no subject
Don't call me that, boy. I strongly advise you not break into my home and call me by that name.
no subject
I'll call you whatever I like.
no subject
[ He cracks his knuckles. ]
You should get to it.
no subject
Make me.

no subject
Is that so? What, you wild you rather stab me in the back?

A ghost. That's what they called me, back home. It wasn't quite right. Yet, when it comes to you... I suppose it's close enough. I will haunt you, for however long it takes.

[ Reaches in his pocket, possibly for his phone. Possibly not. ]

Bring it on.

Last chance.
no subject
Whoops. Guess my fingers slipped.

Whatever point you're trying to prove won't work, you know.
no subject
Funny you haven't, really, with your hobby of making mayhem of people's lives... no matter who it hurts.

Don't misunderstand me. I'd like to, but I'm not like you, and besides -- it wouldn't do much good here.
Now, injuring you? I have no problem with that.
no subject
I really wouldn't. But if you insist, make sure to be quick about it.

Yes. That's more like it.
I knew there was still some of the Goblin in you.
