SUMMARY: This log is forever open to fraternize, socialize, and otherwise eat pie in Ned's restaurant. If you would like to make your thread closed to a specific person (be it someone you came in with or one of the servers/Ned himself) put their name in the subject line. If your thread is open, a server will be with you shortly. Feel free to tag other open threads or eat with strangers too! Anything goes.
Extra notes for November:
- There will be a Thanksgiving hosted here, but I will make a separate log post for it.
- There is now a lifesize cardboard cutout of Han Solo outside, feel free to notice/comment on it!
- Ned will be around much less as his ~other job~ picks up
- Also there are brownies (Shirley's brownies) on the menu you can also order!!

At the last question, he blinked at her. Guy? Processing, processing, processing. Ah, he got it! His entire demeanour suddenly became enthusiastic.
"O-Chul! Yeah! I haven't seen him at all. The porter lady's seems to be taking forever. But I met another paladin! Well, okay, he said he wasn't a paladin, but he talked like one. He was kinda mean though."

"Paladin?" Veronica frowned. "What... what does that mean where you're from? 'Cause I know some paladins, and most of them aren't nice. But... well, that's complicated."

Tsukiko had warned him about paladins. Just before he ended up in the City, actually. He remembered. On the other hand, he didn't particularly care. O-Chul was his friend regardless of being a paladin, so it was okay.

He wasn't entirely sure how to explain something that just is. And then he caught on to the rest.
"Oh, which one were you?"

"That sounds kind of like a monk. Or an NPC, I guess. Is that what you're gonna do when you go back home?"

She shrugged. "Anyway, I kind of left the Brotherhood. We... I didn't see eye to eye with the elder on a number of things. I tried to change things from within..." She paused, remembering she was talking to a relative child, at least cognitively speaking. "Basically, I thought the guy in charge was leading us toward bad things. I couldn't talk him out of it." She sighed, poking her empty plate with her fork.

She sucked in her cheeks. "And no. They totally forgot the cake. They should've had Watkins pop out of it with her lazy eye googling all over the place. Then they'd be sure I'd never come back."

It occurred to him, briefly, that he'd been insulted a lot less since coming to the city. Maybe humans just didn't get insulted as much as monsters did. Oh man, they got a bad rap. He was momentarily filled with a sense of injustice, before deciding that being filled with a sense of injustice was way too much energy, and quickly forgetting the thought.
