[He smiles lightly at her.] How did you guess. How's it going?

Oh, this is Krypto. [He reaches down to give his dog an affectionate pat, Krypto's ears having pricked up at his name.]

You had it all over your face. Sorry. [She shrugs, still smiling.] I'm doing okay. Figuring out how this place works and everything. How are you?

He looks like a pretty great dog. Krypto? [She raises her eyebrows slightly at the choice of name.]

I'm good. My cousin kind of disappeared... She probably got sent back home so it's not like it's a bad thing. Just going to miss her. But besides that, things are pretty great.

Hey, I'm not the one who named him. Superman gave him to me. He's Kryptonian too. Heat vision, super speed, super strong... All that stuff. And he's the best dog ever. [Scratches behind Krypto's ears now. He loves his puppy.]

I'm sorry. I mean, it's good that she gets to go home, but. It can't be easy.

[She laughs a little bit.] Super dog. That's pretty cool. It must be nice having a dog who can watch your back.

[He shrugs a little.] Still got people here I care about so I'm not exactly alone.

It's definitely paid off more than once.

[She hums agreement and leans down to stick her hand out for Krypto to sniff, looking up at Connor in question.] Is it all right if I pet him?

'Course. He wouldn't hurt even a fly for no reason.

[Krypto sniffs at her hand then bumps his head against it with a tiny whine.]

[She pets him, smiling.] Were you at the Macy's Day Parade this morning?

[Long pause, glancing away for a moment.] ... Yeah.

[She doesn't look up.] That sort of thing doesn't happen all of the time here, does it?

Not all the time. It's not that different from back home. But, you know, it's not surprising when it does.

[She looks up, falsely bright.] Still, there is also Thanksgiving with... well, everyone, it looks like. So that's pretty schway.

A part of me wonders if I should be worried. Bats and Supers don't always exactly get along.

They don't? I think they most did back home.

Well, I mean, there were stories about a couple of fights they had, but I think mostly they got along fine.

It's a long story. [Yeaaaaah, he doesn't want to talk about the time he shattered Tim's arm.] Mostly about how Bats doesn't really like metahumans.

[She rolls her eyes. Bruce and his grumpiness.] Well, you know. Bats doesn't like a great deal of things. You seem pretty fine to me.
