I'd like to learn some of the recipes. I don't really know how to make a lot of American comfort food.

Well, comfort's one thing we do very well. Everyone should know how to make mac n cheese, at least, in case of emergencies.

I'm not sure I have made that. Well, the cheap stuff in a box, but I don't think that counts. [she's pretty sure that shade of orange does not show up in real food]

I guess you'd just... make a mornay sauce and mix it with cooked macaroni, and then bake it?

There's probably no wrong way to go about it, but yeah, that sounds about right.

Pizza. Never stopped associating it with the slumber parties I used to have with my friends as a kid. Though when I make it myself it's closer to flatbread.

That's always a good one. It's pretty easy to get anywhere.

What you associate with other people makes a difference. Sometimes I miss my little sister's curry, even though she always puts potatoes in it. [there's a wrinkle of the nose to indicate her opinion of potatoes] But it's... my little sister's....

I have a little sister back home, too. We're not actually related, but I miss her pretty terribly. My older sister, too--sometimes I think if she was here, she'd know exactly what to do and we'd all be home again.

I guess, technically I'm a big sister because we also have a little sister, but I can't do it like Sis can.
