WHO: The Brothers Derp, Matsuka (
loveyourenemy) and Bakura (
shiromadoushi)
WHEN: Thursday evening.
WHERE: Hell Towers
WARNINGS: Just the usual derp advisory.
FORMAT: Whatever.
SUMMARY: Matsuka makes an unexpected discovery about Bakura's latest project.
Bakura was working on another project. It wasn't really anything very out of the ordinary for Matsuka to sense from his friend; Bakura was often working on some project or other. Matsuka was curious, but Bakura had yet to mention it, and Matsuka didn't want to pry. Besides, the holiday shopping season was keeping things busy, only compounded by recent events, so Matsuka hadn't had a lot of opportunity to think much about it.
It wasn't really on his mind now, either, but when he reached out his thoughts to locate Bakura in order to ask him a couple of questions about tomorrow's workday, he was a little surprised to find that his sense of his friend's mind led downward.
A look around for Mouse - dozing comfortably - and Matsuka headed out of his apartment and to the elevator, following the guide of his telepathy down the floors of the building to, eventually, the lobby. Still no Bakura... and the unmistakable feel of his mind was still down.
The basement...? What would Bakura be doing all the way down there? Curious now, and more than a little confused, Matsuka headed farther down - and farther. Was there even anything down here...?

The room down the stairs was almost as large as the garage under it, and almost as unfinished, support columns dotting the expanse. Chalk sketches and kanji marked the walls in various places, unfinished outlets and light fixtures at regular intervals.
And in the middle, a small table covered with sketches, notebooks, pencils, chalk and erasers, with Bakura diligently working away on a floor plan, lost in his on thoughts and planning.

"...Ryou?" he managed at least when he actually found Bakura in person. "This is what you've been working on?"

"It's only big because it'll be full scale!" he pointed out cheerfully. "It's actually a lot smaller than the VRPG things, just with a lot more specialized work, since you don't need a working bathroom and kitchen in a VRPG!" he laughed softly. "Or to accommodate two cats and a very large dog." His smile grew a touch fond there. "Mouse'll have his own special section in the bathroom, since he can't exactly use a litter box."

Though the emergency would be when it was really going to be needed. It was a nice feeling, knowing that they wouldn't have to run away from home to be safe.
"And you'll have to let me know anything special you think should be added! Since I know I haven't thought of everything yet."

"I was thinking of putting some soundproofing in between the rooms anyway, but I don't think that helps too much for other sorts of noisiness," he apologized with a soft laugh.
