Bucky wound up solving his food problem by ordering three bags of something or other stacked high with white take-out boxes from the Chinese place his neighbors were always going on about. He also made sure his apartment was spic and span. It was a remarkably tidy space: nothing interesting on the walls, no television, and now a couple orders of cashew chicken placed on a big card table in the center.

He'd bought a few decks of cards from the corner store and unwrapped one of them, flipping the cardstock between his fingers. Yeah, he was ready to play poker.

Baking's easy, at least the basics like cookies, cakes and cupcakes.

We're close. [ And under some tension... ] I haven't heard her complain yet.

I doubt she can hurt my feelings over food.
