Choirs will be singing Silent Night, Christmas carols by candle light.
WHO: Angelica & Calvin (and maybe Pietro if Yami would like to join??)
WHERE: Casa de Maximoff
WHEN: Saturday night (aka Christmas Eve!)
WARNINGS: None!
SUMMARY: Cookies, hot chocolate, maybe some holiday TV, family time, and then hunting for Santa Claus!
FORMAT: Whatever you like! c:
The picture in the cookbook looked fantastic, and the recipe seemed so fool proof-- there was now way Angelica could mess this up. Unfortunately, the result was a little less than stellar, but they were still entirely edible. And that's what mattered most.
Angelica set out a plate for Calvin, along with a mug of hot chocolate. She could sense his excitement building over the course of the whole afternoon, it seemed like it was only a matter of time before he burst from anticipation. She couldn't help but smile at the look of wonder and delight in his eyes. It made her think back to Christmas when she was a kid. And it made her think about having children of her own.
"So, Calvin, what else would you like to do tonight? We could watch Charlie Brown. Or Rudolph might be on TV if you'd like to watch that."

He was pulling on his mittens now. The dark purple 'stealth cape' he'd received as a Christmas gift a year ago didn't fit too well with all his winter gear, but Calvin was determined to manage it somehow. He kept talking as he got ready.
"I don't know why I didn't think of it before. I can fly, right? I've got stupendous senses, right? So if I watch the skies above the City all night, I'm bound to spot Santa while he's on the job!"

But there he was, putting on his winter clothes, and all she could do was gape at him before hurriedly tugging on her coat after him. Not that she'd exactly need it, but still.
"You can't go out alone, Calvin. It's cold and dark and Santa will be very high up." She buttoned up her jacket, trying to maintain composure while looking around for her earmuffs. "I'll go with you. My powers can keep us warm, and illuminate the sky."

He was at the door now, still talking, more excited for this than he ever would be a for a TV special. "Hey, can you flash in Morse code? Maybe we can send him a signal. SANTA! DROP EXTRA LOOT HERE!"

With that he opened the door and ka-pwinged up into the night of the City on Christmas Eve. He was smiling, the cold rushing against his face being exhilarating for the moment rather than an inconvenience.

"Wait up, Calvin!"

"Okay, this says Santa should be here any minute! So keep your eyes open, okay?" Calvin started scanning the skies in between cookie bites.
