Two grown boys fighting over a girl
WHO: Hal "Tighten" Stewart and Megamind "Incredibly Handsome Criminal Genius and Master of All Villainy"
WHERE: A junkyard on the outskirts of the City
WHEN: backdated to January 2nd
WARNINGS: Fight scene
SUMMARY: Megamind and Hal each think the other is a terrible person who wronged his girlfriend. This is a good time to disrespect her wishes and try to kill each other.
FORMAT: Whatever you prefer!
A few days ago, Hal broke Roxanne's arm. Inadequately controlled superpowers combined with the strong emotions of demanding a longer conversation was a bad combination. After a brief, unnerving and irritating fight with Spiderman, he'd hidden and laid low in his apartment.
For the most part, anyway. Being alone on New Year's Eve, while Roxanne was befriending weird people left and right, had seemed horribly unfair. Hal vented to the network and anyone who would talk with him about it. A day later, Megamind showed up on that post, taunting Hal and claiming that he, Tighten, was the bad guy in all this.
And then Megamind revealed that he and Roxanne were dating. He even claimed it was willingly.
Now Roxanne's strange, dismissive behavior and obviously false memories made sense. Megamind must have done something to implant them. The freak probably had fallen in love with her, all the times he'd kidnapped her. Hal tried not to think too hard about what could have happened on some of those kidnappings, and focused instead on the present tense.
Tighten stood in a junkyard, communicator put away, and awaiting Megamind's arrival. He would beat the alien villain into dust, and fix whatever was wrong with Roxanne. Then she'd be his, and everything would be so much better.

Furious, enraged, irate, and livid were far better terms. Megamind was boiling with rage the more he had thought about Roxanne's predicament, and while they...weren't officially together yet, at this point he knew that would be the trigger to set Hal off and demand the fight himself.
At least this way, Megamind wasn't at fault.
Completely.
The hoverbike brought him to the location encased in brainbots, accompanied by a few exploding fireworks and loud, obnoxious music that announced his arrival.
"Hal Shtewart! Prepare to meet your doom!"

Seeing the giant-headed cause of all his problems as a blue and red smear certainly seems like a satisfying idea.
Tighten flies up to face him, tense from holding back his aggressive impulse for the moment.
"That's not what you're supposed to say, Megamind! You're supposed to tell me what you think you're doing, messing with my girlfriend!"
no subject
The brainbots flicker and Megamind glowers at him, hands in fists as he tries not to let his anger get the better of him. He keeps in mind what Roxanne told him about Hal -- but it's impossible not to want to play by the normal rules.
Hal, however, wont.
"I'd like to know, Hal, where you get off thinking it's alright to injure Miss Ritchi!"
no subject
Tighten's first reaction lately is to justify it, to keep from looking like someone who'd do it on purpose. He quickly remembers who he's talking to. A single broken arm is nothing compared to years of kidnappings, hostage holding, and trying to terrorize the City that she cares so much about.
"Look, if Roxanne's that ticked about it, no way would she be your girlfriend! You did something to her, and I'm gonna make you fix it."
There's no sense in waiting for the freak to make excuses; a bit of pain should fix this. His eyes light up, and lasers shoot erratically in Megamind's direction.
