WHO: Edgeworth & Remus
WHERE: Stark Tower
WHEN: March 11, early morning
SUMMARY: Edgeworth goes to check on Remus shortly before Sirius arrives to get him.
WARNINGS: Ur. Potential for a mildly naughty joke somewhere in there?
FORMAT: Quicklog
[Exhausted, and quite prepared to drop down and sleep at any moment, he makes his way towards the room he has been told the... monster was chased into and locked inside.]
[It is early morning; from what little he knows after having been told, Lupin should be fine by that point in time. He himself is... angry, yes, and disappointed, and frightened, and something else. Concerned, perhaps. He had not witnessed the entire ordeal, and was unsure of the state the other man had been left in.]
[He knocks on the door and waits thirty seconds before unlocking it and slowly, cautiously peering inside.]

Grimm, what are you? >|
I won't bite.
A BEAUTIFUL PERSON, bb
Not now, perhaps.
[He realized then that Lupin had nothing on but his own skin and pulled off his trenchcoat, tossing it over. It would be ruined, of course, by the blood, but he could get another. It was warming up outside, anyway.]
You--
[Edgeworth thought for a moment before finishing the thought. Lupin looked... he changed his sentence, glancing away so that the other could have what modesty remained to him.]
...I took the liberty of looking up and memorizing the full moons for the next three years.

Nothing you haven't seen before, Edgeworth.
Thank you.
no subject
True. Nevertheless, it is not my place to assume such rights.
[He considered the lengthy lecture he had meant to give, but after a minute or two decided against it. Lupin was not a stupid man; he would have inferred Edgeworth's displeasure with his having forgotten easily enough. Even had he not, the comment he'd made about the moon phases would have made it clear. In any case, he was quite sure that it would not be one Lupin had not heard before, and he himself was really too tired to do anything more than be briefly conversational in most respects.]
Mm.

No one was hurt?
no subject
None but yourself.
[After a moment's thought.]
Perhaps the Piper and that one boy--Hulkling, I believe they call him? But for unrelated reasons.

I seem to recall a successful plan that trapped me in here. I will have to thank them later.
no subject
Ah--yes. They were all surprisingly coordinated, given such short notice.
[With a half-smirk:]
Somewhat moreso than they were during the initial rush here.
[...The smirk gives way to a raised eyebrow and a watchful look, and his voice takes on a hint of curiosity as he opens the door wider for Lupin.]
Should I be calling you a taxi, or do you have other means of transportation? I assume you'll be resting; regeneration and magical properties or not, I expect the--
[Edgeworth realizes that he doesn't know how he's supposed to speak about these things and frowns, intending to try and avoid offensive terms.]
--Ah, the changes, such as they are, still consume much of one's energy?
no subject
Transformations take a great deal of energy and I suspect the magic that does keep my body from quite literally destroying itself also consumes far too much energy.
Sirius will be here soon enough, I suspect. Hopefully, he'll have found my wand and communicator.
no subject
[He pulled something from inside his vest, then, and held it out. While he wasn't able to find the communicator, he had come across something, at least.]
[It felt ridiculous, treating the wand like anything more than a decorative piece of wood with a handle, but he'd seen what could be done with it.]
It doesn't seem damaged.
no subject
Thank you for retrieving it for me. Episkey.
no subject
I--
[He was unused to being thanked for anything, and turned his gaze elsewhere.]
--Of course.
no subject
I suppose I shall either attempt to retrieve my communicator or find another. And find some proper clothes. I will return the coat.
no subject
[He muttered, amused. It was unnecessary, of course--if he cared that much about where exactly Remus' skin had been, well.]
[He could hear footsteps; recognized them as belonging to Sirius. With a frown, he nodded to the other.]
I will... speak with you later.
[At that, he left.]
