i just want to take my chance to live through a miracle;

WHO: [livejournal.com profile] kathreptis & [livejournal.com profile] soldieringblue
WHERE: a random rooftop of a random building
WHEN: just after sunrise
WARNINGS: n/a
SUMMARY: let's share some feelings and do some flying
FORMAT: idk words

( alright let me paint for you the most beautiful of pictures: the sun has just risen, the sky is a warm orange-pink color, and since it still winter it is chilly and windy out. donna is floating just above some rooftop or other, looking out over the city as she rubs her hands together and tugs her coat more tightly around her. she's pretty lost in the moment--since it is quite beautiful--but that doesn't mean she'd say no to company. )

[Blue is descending from a much higher viewpoint this early in the day, a sparking comet for the start of the fall. it's actually chance he levels out and passes low enough to detect her, daydreaming like she is.

he's almost inclined to leave her be; she's so content, and the mood is nice. but he finds himself drifting that way before he knows it, flickering doubts be damned.]

[he moves quicker at the gesture, floating to a halt short of the roof she's occupying, smiling wanly.]

Many and more...[his eyes close, listening.] But not so many as pleased about it as you are, I sense. [opening. after a slight pause and a considering gaze, he bows his head slightly.]

It's good to see you again, Donna.

[his feet settle not long after she's settled herself, still keeping the glow for the sake of staying warm. he takes time to consider a response, head tilting to give the lighter sky a kind of sideways glance.]

I was looking for perspective. [the short of it. when he looks back her way, the smile is out of his eyes, but frozen at his mouth.] But what about you?

[it's his turn to consider her for a length of time, stretching out well beyond a mere minute. it's a touching a sensitive nerve, he knows.]

How long has it been since you saw her last?

You were separated even there-?

Maybe... [an unconvinced agreement. he looks back toward the horizon, mulling it all over.] And it won't feel so long...going back. [ugh.] Forgetting. [ugh.]
