SUMMARY: Sherlock is a bit touchy-feely, thanks to Desire, and just can't sit at home any more lest he go absolutely mad with boredom. Catch all for any shenanigans you would like with him. You can also catch him at his flat, if you need to consult him. Seriously, open to everyone, even if we haven't had CR before, because I want it.

He'd been obsessing.

Desire promised a distraction and now he has one, though whether it will drive him mad rather than release the boredom, who can say.

He certainly can't stay put anymore. Striding through the city as a tall brooding shadow, just possibly accidentally running into passerby, a constant flicker of tiny white notes running in succession by his head.

[Sherlock's day was no better, and he was practically smoldering as he walked down the street.

That was, until he saw the umbrella's shadow.

Import. Had to be. But when he looked at it, the only notes that appeared were four white question marks. That was enough to peak his interest, at least for a few seconds. He pulled in front of it and stopped in its path.]

Is the umbrella a necessity to the power, or simply a method of attracting attention to it?

[ The Monster starts and looks around at the man. His yellow eyes blink at him. ]

Oh, uh, I'm just supposed to stay under the umbrella when I'm outside. ...Do I know you, mister?

[His eyes narrow as he catches Monsters, but again, only four little white question marks appear.]

You're world is entirely different from this one, isn't it? [ Because what is a segue. ]

[ Wow, this is weird. The Monster's patient though. There has to be something this guy is doing. ]

It's way different! It's like, full of humans. The only non-humans here aren't from here.

I think you have a question mark problem. You should probably get some help for that.

[Sherlock blinked, frowning, and then couldn't help himself but reach out a hand slightly, pausing before it passed the barrier of light into shadow.]

Observation. [Because that explained what he was doing, and the question marks. Totally explained it.]

If you aren't human, what are you?

What? Oh, I'm a monster. Usually. [ The shadows have no substance but they're pitch black, impossible to see through. He kinda backs away a couple of steps after Sherlock puts his hand through.

His steps sound light, like a child's.]

Sherlock Holmes. [He replied casually, but he was looking at... the monster... with a strange look of intensity.]

Consulting detective. I also do... other research. The darkness is one of your powers?

No, well, okay, here it is, I think. Back home it was a spell.

Nice to meet you, mister Sure Lock Homes! That's a weird name, but I guess it's not much weirder than mine. I'm Monster.

Monster. [He didn't catch any mispronunciation of his name - after all, that was exactly as it was pronounced.]

Name and descriptor, then. Does it have any physical properties, or is it only the lack of light?
